  1. He's a sweetie. What a tubby boy, he looks like he does like his food. He will eat as much as he wants so don't worry too much.
  2. Have you spoken to the breeder about your concerns??? If you are worried I would try and get a second opinion.
  3. Just thought I would share this site. It might help everyone understand the nutritional needs of our dogs to help them continuously be at their best. I had a sample of Advance given to me and thought I would check out their website. It is really good. Advance Nutritional Info If you go into the Vet Resources section it goes a bit more into the finer details of nutritional balance and vitamins etc.
  4. Sending healing vibes to Diesel. Hope he feels better soon.
  5. Ellz I just gave my dogs a Capstar tablet yesterday and it has done wonders with the fleas. Maybe give that a go.
  6. Just to let everyone know, I got my silent whistle yesterday arvo and OMG it works a treat. My dogs have basically stopped barking at nothing. If they start to bark I look and see what it is that they are barking at and if its something they shouldn't be barking at I blow the whistle, they come to the back/front door, I get them to sit and then give them a treat. It was so good to sit and satch a bit of telly last night being relaxed cause the dogs weren't barking.
  7. I have a bit of a problem with my bitch barking and I just thought of maybe a silent whistle because when she is barking she is `in the zone' and she can't hear anything. We also live part way up a hill so everything echos. Will let you know if it works. (ofcourse give her a treat and lots of praise for her stopping)
  8. I did a bit more looking at the Neutersol and apparently it's not approved here in Australia and it's not available in the US at the moment cause they have just lost their marketing sponsor. Did then read about another one called Chemspay, but that is in early testing and wont be available for about another 2-5 years.
  9. I give my dogs garlic everyday in addition to their flea treatment. The fleas don't like the odour. You can also use frontline on very young pups. Also, yes lime in the soil helps control fleas in your yard.
  10. I would say the dog was just trying to cool itself down. As was said, its how dogs cool down. It's like their own personal airconditioner. Just make sure water is available all the time.
  11. Please keep us updated on how everything is going with the other pup and mum. I am sure we are all genuinely concerned and do hope that they get the neccessary treatment.
  12. she will thank you many times over during her lifetime. Enjoy every moment with her. She's a cutie.
  13. brisket or marrowbones or else chicken carcasses. These sorts of bones are softer bones perfect for dogs.
  14. She would probably still be teething. Try giving her a meaty bone at night for her to have a good chew on or give her a chew toy instead of her biting/chewing on you.
  15. good on you. Just give the pup lots of love and don't forget about her first injection that she should have a 6 weeks. Would love to see a pic of her. What about the other pup? Will he/she be ok?
  16. Just a reminder to to treat your yard aswell, so that you maximise the chance of killing them all. Just remember that adult fleas only make up 5% of the whole lifecycle of the flea.
  17. how about gluing the squares down so he can't lift them up. Just an alternative to the suggestions of crate training. Crate training is a very good thing to do though................ maybe do both things.
  18. my litter of pups is now 6 weeks old and at their vacinations with the vet he gave them some advantage. Maybe try that but you should probably get the ok from your vet first.
  19. I am gobsmacked. This is amazing. It's going to be useful to so many people. Thank you.
  20. raw eggs are fine for dogs. I give mine one a day to keep their coat nice, but mine are long haired. I am not sure if its ok for whort haired but I dont think it would hurt. I have also heard that the shells are a good source of calcium.
  21. Maybe just gut instinct or behavoural changes or physical changes
  22. I was actually searching today and I found a site that is cheaper than pricelesspets. Here is the link http://www.ipet-int.com/index.htm
