It is not he time to learn to hand raise when they are clearly having digestive problems. fasting at that age is not a solution, it may kill them and by all mean they need to get the formula right. Too hot or cold are the most likely reason but so too is an infection. It's a shame if they are BYB but either way these pups are at significant risk. laneka Posted October 5, 2007 Share Posted October 5, 2007 Allerzeit, as far as I know not many true bobtails are born these days. Or at least I have not heard about or seen them. Some breeders have had short tail by this I mean about 3" long and there is a breeder in WA who has a lot of short tailed Rotts. Most true bobtails do not survive very long. I do hope this person takes these pups to the vet. They might be BYB but they are still living breathing pups. They do deserve a chance at life. I hope they also desex them before they sell them. Finding the right homes is a hard job and very important. As you know I have just had a litter and I know how many people I said no to because I felt they were not suitable for a Rottweiler. It takes a dedicated person to raise and train a Rottweiler to be a pillar of society. They are not a breed to be left in the backyard and need socialising and training for a long time. I have used it for four years now with huge success and never any constipation or diahorrhea. The puppies thrive on it and never look like orphans. I use it to supplement the mother as well as topping up puppies that are not thriving. Since using this formula I have not lost an orphan or had one get sick. Mjosa Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 The Frenchie is born with natural short tails, that is why I have dogs kept for breeding xrayed for spine and hips when they go for their 12 month booster, just a matter of routine for me, so all my breeding stock are tested, should there even be a minor problem as long as it is not in the lumbar area I have them desexed and sold as pets, anything more drastic which could prove to be a problem I would have them PTS, but thankfully that has never had to happen. I also believe in the Beef liver water and the goat milk recipe, just excellent for new borns while the Dams milk is coming down, am doing that right now, as today my girl Macey has delivered three gorgeous brindle girls.
