  1. I hope your pup is fine. Thank you for posting the link to the elephant birth video, absolutely amazing.
  2. Rave because his registered name is Shiraz Black and Rave is short for Raven = Black, Ashke, character out of a book, means beloved The girls, Kitt - her sire comes from Falconsnest Kennels and her name is Kitt Falke = concrete Falcon Mikki - because it just came to me and I liked it Tanty - registered name is Havin A Tanty because she would really crack them when she lost a nipple.
  3. I keep my dogs after surgery in the spare room with a baby gate. So long as he does not move around much, that should be okay. Also if you can get a 4 x 4 crate, these are wonderful. Goodluck with his post surgery recovery. Is the red area a surgery site or where he has been shaved. If only shaved do you have anything that would be soothing to put on it.
  4. I have 4, all house dogs and ages ranging from 10 years to nearly 3 years. Because we got them 2 years apart, bonding has not been an issue. 3 girls, 1 boy. All get on very well and eat side by side, they can even have bones 2 feet apart. Good doggies.
  5. OMG, that is so beautifully sad and brings back a lot of memories of one heart dog, that after nearly 3 years I still miss so badly. Thank you for posting.
  6. We have short coated dogs. Do not use shampoo at all but use Fido's Herbal Rinse for Hydro Baths. Fantastic, does not strip the oils from the coat. Coats are shiny and smell beautiful.
  7. Maybe even ring the supermarket and put in a formal complaint. She just might get a talking too.
  8. Fingers crossed they will both be okay. Hugs to you
  9. Got my BH at Seymour, great to know that I can get it there as it saves me heaps of time.
  10. That is a beautiful and sad story. Thank you for posting it. I now have tears in my eyes as I think of the brave Mah Noy.
  11. I am so happy for you and Bison. I hope he stays in remission for a very long time. Please give him a hug from me.
  12. To save me trawling through this whole thread can someone tell me if Black Hawk is sold in Seymour Vic. I have to go there tomorrow and to save me a long trip it would be so much easier to pick it up there.
  13. I feel so sorry for everyone involved in this. Ayen, her parents, her family. I feel sorry for the owner because of a couple of things he did wrong that caused this horrible event. Nobody wants their dog to do this, it is such a shame it happened. Jail is not going to fix this, he apologised to the family and they accepted. Rest In Peace Ayen.
  14. Rottweiler is my fave and has been for nearly 40 years. Hard to say my least fave, probably any dog who is not well mannered and socialised.
  15. My Rotty boy has one in his run. When he is in there he plays with it all the time. It used to have a marble in it but that got lost, now it has a stone. When he is not in the run we leave the door open and we often find him playing with it. He absolutely loves it. The 3 girls just ignore it.
  16. Rottweilers suffer too. Not all but some.
  17. I have 3 out of 4 dogs on BH. Those 3 are really doing well on it. The 4th one, well it just goes straight through and we have a lot of cowpats. We just feed that one another brand of dry. Very happy with BH. And it is still cheaper than the other great drys
  18. Just found this thread. My fingers are crossed that Bison continues to do well. to you and Bison
  19. We have one living next door, a very sweet boy but gives me the impression of not being too bright.
  20. Prefer the boys in my breed as they are much stronger in temp and character. But do love my girlies too.
  21. We had a litter of 12. We did not seperate them but supplemented them with Wombaroo Milk Replacer. All pups thrived. I suppose it is up to the individual. Goodluck with your babies.
  22. I would love one but my Rotts would think it was a toy just for them.
  23. Now that they have tails, I just say lab cross. It gets a lot more people to pat them. Thanks to the media a lot of people are scared of Rotts.
  24. Thanks Guys, I have a dog who is a bit sensitive to the dry I have been feeding. Have switched him over to the Holistic Select which he tolerates. Saw this and naturally am very interested.
