This may be a silly question but when do you class a puppy as fully grown?? Mainly I am interested in height and just wondering how much longer I should expect my pup to grow or if he is about finished (10 months old).

Thanks

Really hard to tell from that photo but I understand that the knobbly bone (can't remember the technical name) just above the front feet is an indicator of growth and maturity in height. Once that bone is no longer protruding growth height wise is finished. Yet the puppy still may develop through the shoulders etc after this.

According to some for our breed they should be fully grown by 2 years old. Almost 3 years later and Humphrey is still growing!!!

ANyways as told by our vet usually its size/breed dependant. Small dogs mature by about 1. Medium/large get their height and length in first year and in the second yr they fill in. Large breeds can take up to 3 years to be fully grown.
