LOUIE the toy poodle strutted his stuff to take out the longest ears title, but there was not a trophy in sight. Owner Marie Buckland said the Poodles in the Park day, run by the Poodle Club of Queensland at Meadowbrook near Logan, was just a bit of fun. "We're not show people," Mrs Buckland said. She owns Peninsular Beachfront Resort at Mooloolaba with husband Glenn. Mr Buckland said two of their poodles, Chloe and Kate, had died a few years ago. "They were a big part of the resort, guests used to come and see them," he said. Now Louie and another poodle pup, George, have come into their lives.
