TeamSnag Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Yes, definitely a registered breeder: "All of our pups are sold with ANKC registered pedigree papers and microchipped so you will receive proof of Pedigree."I've also seen the bloodlines and my pup has champions and grand champions in the grandparent line. The father was also a champion and the mother is a gorgeous Beagle. I have no doubt that the pup came from these lines as even the vet said she was a beautiful pedigreed Beagle from good stock. The breeder did release the litter early last Friday as they had another litter due after the weekend. It was only 2 days early. This photo was from the afternoon we picked her up. The breeder released her early because she had another litter due on the following Monday, so we got her on the Friday - only 2 days shy of 8 weeks. Gypsy met my mother-in-laws 2 dogs today and they all got along so well. Have to say that she has been socialised very well by the breeder. She is super friendly to all dogs and doesn't shy away from anyone. She goes to all the people she has met so far, and just loves the attention. If she got all your details papers should take couple weeks I could be wrong but I seem to remember that age for pups leaving for their new homes could be slightly different in each state CC. We were looking at our National Code of ethics and one state had put up that pups couldn't leave breeders until 7 weeks where other states said it was 8 weeks. A prefix is their registered kennel name, registered with their state Canine control. In the past our club has had enquiries about breeders when papers haven't turned up. Some breeders weren't putting the registrations into their CC until the pups had already gone to their new homes and it sometimes took a number of weeks for the papers to be issued and sent on. All the papers did turn up eventually from these registered breeders that the enquiries were about. If you brought from a registered breeder give them a ring and ask where the papers are, every pups from a registered litter has to be registered whether it be main or limited register. After then they normaly take a couple weeks Id give Dogs SA a call like what has been said... All she has to do is fill out the back of one reg paper of the pup and send it in.. dogs SA do the rest.. If the pup is on ANKC Main Register and you have the ANKC registration number, she can be shown now provided YOU are a registered member of the Tasmanian CC (whatever its called).
