When they came for the pit bulls,

I remained silent;

Surely these dogs deserved death!

When they banned the rottweilers,

I remained silent;

Who needs these dogs?

When they came for the guardian breeds,

I did not speak out;

My dog was not one of these.

When they came for the large dogs,

I remained silent;

My dog was small.

When they came for all dogs,

there was no one left to fight with me.

Too bloody true Robbi!!

Makes my blood boil to see ppl with other large or small breeds in favour of the pit ban and want rottis and sheps ect to go. I feel like shoving this poem in their face and say look! This is what will happen one day, and if you dont help us now don't expect us to be there for you!

Sorry, they must have got me mixed up with someone else. I posted an old Dog's Life magazine article on BSL and some stuff about an SA council introducing subsidies for voluntary euthanasia of pet dogs, but nothing on QLD bite stats. If I come across anything like that I'll let you know though.
