So excited! :whee: Its my birthday on Monday and my OH has just shown me what he wants to give me for my birthday, then told me to go ask the DOL gurus' for help :D

As for prices I have no idea as I haven't bought retail for years, but it would def pay to shop around as with all things ;)

Really depends on how experienced you are and what type of photos you will be and think you may end up taking personally I would go with the 60d it has a better AF System with 9 cross type v 600d at 1 centre cross type 9 points, 5.7 fps for the 60D v 600d with 3.7fps (just remember that's with a full charged grip/fast card)if you were doing dog/action shots I would go with the 60D for sure. I am not a huge fan of the kit lenses but in reality it comes down to what glass you can afford and what deal you can get. The 60D is around 200g heavier though so if you get sore hands that can also make a big difference when shooting all day. Hope that helps but hey at the end of the day it would be nice to get either as a gift :)
