My dear little shadow, my darling funny little girl, (my avatar) Sadly she did not survive the rushed trip to the emergency vet and crossed over to the bridge where she won't be in any pain. I absolutely can't believe it . She was always so happy to see me come home and I loved to see her dear little white face. How could I not have noticed her duck in front of the car? When Bryn died in the morning, it was later in the evening we distinctly heard three barks each one for his family member. Thinking of you and remember Mary isn't far from you. I did the same with my cat whom I'd had for 18 years - she was deaf and I didn't see her and she didn't hear the car. It's a terrible feeling but it was an accident and these things happen sometimes.
