  1. Me too!! I did see Seb on Saturday and he said they'd be at the show at KCC park today and at Bulla on Wednesday.
  2. Fletcher and I had tonnes of fun at Benalla! Getting compleeeeetely drenched on Friday, muggy muggy muggy on Saturday and completely cooking today, Australia can certainly throw out some interesting weather. Congrats Angelsun on taking out THREE Minor Puppy in Groups! We brought home some fringies, wooo! RUBIG / Aust Bred in Group today
  3. Hugo does it when you ask a question or when you say an 'exciting' word - like dinner or walk! Fletcher the Samoyed only does it when there's a verrrrry interesting noise.
  4. Wow I can't believe so many people are able to get up at 6am etc... The extra time sounds so lovely in theory, but in practice I just cannot get my hand off the snooze button... I always get out of bed an hour before I have to be somewhere.. whether that's 6am or 10am My dogs have no routine whatsoever, both my OH and I work shift work. Every spare moment when we're not at work is spent with the dogs (pretty much) as they are inside with us. (when working night shift, Fletcher also comes to work with me!) when they're having their walks at whatever time of day they happen to be having it, or while we're sitting watching tv, they are there with us. Days off are spent at dog shows, dog obedience, or therapy dog outings... read: I do everything with my dogs. For the times when they are left alone for a large length of time they are perfectly fine, i guess because they are used to the 'randomness' of our routine. We check in regularly with neighbours re barking and they never hear a thing.
  5. I don't think I entered and now I want to goooo :D Have fun and best of luck for those who are going!
  6. Kairu is tiny, they could get away with a flannel!

What's wrong with Bindiis!! Hehehe. I think professional grooming scissors would be best for accuracy, but clippers are clippers as far as I know! I don't clip my boy, I just comb out bindis after a walk. Just don't clip the whole coat
  8. Okay that makes a lot of sense actually! I agree that submissive isn't necassarilly fearful - as dominant doesn't necasserilly mean agression- does it! Shy and timid are very similar and perhaps in it's original language there was a word that described the difference better. But I absoloutely get what you are saying about the words in the standard not existing purely on their own. I have also never looked at submissive as the happy-go-lucky, perhaps 'goofy' way of the Lappie but can see now how that is a suitable description for that characteristic. Thanks Armahani and happy birthday!
  9. I've come across that before and wondered what the difference between 'submissive to some people' or bitches being shy to not being timid. How can a dog/bitch be submissive or shy without that also being timid? I thought all of those were really the same thing - particularly shy and timid - that it is a lack of self confidence and both, I believe, would be displayed in a dog in the same way. So do you think it's ok for a Lappie to look wary and perhaps duck away from you as you pat it due to the lines in this guide that suggests it's ok to be submissive or shy, or do you see it as a fault due to the line which states they should never be timid?
  10. **thinking of you** As it has been said already many dogs have survived with this kind of treatment. In fact, I have seen many dogs get very very sick, bleeding from their toe nails etc and still recover with this treatment (and blood transfusions to start with) The fact that you have discovered that they have eaten it and have them on Vit K already is a really positive thing. I'm not going to pray for a miracle because they SHOULD survive, it shouldn't be a miracle, it should be what happens, stay positive, get through this little babies ... and I will pray for that!!
