  1. Definitely second what Erny has suggested in contacting Steve at K0 Force, sooner rather than later.
  2. RIP Kaleigh :D Pix I wish I had some words to comfort you through this difficult time ;)
  3. Glad to hear Lou is feeling a bit better, must have given you a fright though.
  4. I just don't really know what she has done, she never yelped or I would have heard her, will see what it looks like in the morning.
  5. Pearl was outside playing tonight and came in the house and about 20 mins later she got on the couch and hung her head down and I noticed all this blood coming from under her cheek cleaned it all up and can't find any puncture wounds or any bite marks but it is very red and a little sore. I have bathed it and put some cream on it, only thing I can think of is she has been bitten by something, she's quite normal and sleeping after a big day out.

    Trez

Pandi I followed Trez's story in the rotti thread, you are an absolute angel with the largest of hearts, be very proud of the time you devoted to Trez. It doesn't matter how long we love someone it is never long enough. Take care of yourself Pandi. Fly free and rest easy Trez
  7. What?!!! You finally pulled out the ol' starter crank from the back shed and pumped your PC into action, HG?
  8. Poor boy is having a terrible time of it, I would also suggest a second opinion from another vet. Bear had a very uncomfortable time after being desexed for about 5 days, I used a pak in the fridge around the area to give him some relief, this worked quite well. As long as it's not too too cold maybe try this and give poor Lou a big hug from us here, poor thing.
  9. Great news, glad Lou is feeling a little better this morning.
  10. Just saw this thread, sending lots of healing vibes for the poor boy. Also check and make sure he is hydrated especially as he's doesn't seem to be drinking at all. If possible can you boil up some chicken and give him the cooled broth to drink, he may be a bit more interested in that. Please keep us posted.
  11. Woohoo Jodie that is fantastic news, please give Ollie a huge hug from me, I am overjoyed to read this. Can't stop
  12. Why not try a herding workshop and see how they go, they are great fun and it's all very well controlled I took Bear for his first go a couple of months ago, have never done this before and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day.
  13. I can highly recommend Four Paws K9 Training, we are a member there and very happy. ;)
  14. I finally found Turkey Drumsticks at Safeway, $7.99 for two. They also had the Turkey Wings which weren't too expensive $3.99 and had about 8 wings for that price but still can't source Turkey Necks
  15. Just to jump in here, it is not so much as giving the dog a reward, it is showing him what is and isn't acceptable to chew on. Toys are fine for dogs to chew on and should be encouraged especially at crucial teething times. You aren't rewarding the dog as such, more giving it the correct equipment to chew on.
  16. Lamb Shanks are more for chewing, not much bone in them, if you are looking for something to last longer a lambs neck will take a bit more work to get through.
  17. You can also give him things like a raw piece of carrot as good behaviour treat, also maybe add in a kong with a filling in it when he is really mouthy. I put yoghurt, vegemite and peanut butter and put them in the freezer which also gives relief to his gums and keeps them occupied.
  18. Most pups go through this stage, best to nip it in the bud quickly, the method we use for our labrador pups is to yelp when they bite us, substitute a toy for them to mouth and praise them when they play with the toy and also turn out backs to them and they receive no attention and especially eye contact until they are behaving themselves. You need to be firm but fair.
  19. Great news Jodie and Ollie, so very pleased for you both
  20. I often think of Ollie and hope that the lack of news is because he is doing so well for you Jodie, fingers crossed and sending lots of positive vibes his way.
  21. Harminee those shots of the blood moon are awesome
  22. Harminee I hadn't caught up with this thread for a few days, thank you so very much for the wonderful pic of Pearl you did, it is gorgeous. You are very talented.
  23. I voted yes, the two clubs we train at are there rain, hail and shine. I find it good to make sure my dogs will work and drop in the horrible wet slush should I ever need them to.
