1. Yay for Ollie Always so glad to hear he is doing well.
2. We use the Paul's plain vanilla one which is hard set with the acidofolus (probably not the correct spelling of that word, too lazy to get up and go to the fridge )
3. I normally keep mine on 3 meals a day until 6 months. As long as you aren't overfeeding there shouldn't be any problems.
4. No not full, just swab some in there and pop in the freezer until frozen and they get lots of fun trying to get their tongue in to get to the last bits.
5. Pup would be teething again around this age, make sure you give them plenty of good things to chew like a bone, also when teething we freeze the kong with either vegemite or yoghurt inside to give them some relief. Try rubbing dencorub on things that you don't want chewed but test it first to make sure it won't harm the surface.
6. Ice treats are great for puppies, I agree with KitKat about the rawhide and certainly wouldn't give to young puppies. Another great cool treat is a kong with either yoghurt or vegemite in the freezer. To be honest I am not overly keen on rawhide but that's only my opionion.
7. Jodie time is irrelevant for you and Ollie, live for the moment and enjoy each other every second, he is an amazing soul and I pray that I will still be reading about him for a long time to come. :D
8. RIP Daisy. I am very sorry for your loss, your time together may have been short but I'm sure it felt like a million years of love to Daisy. Take your time to grieve and hugs to you.
9. I was recommended the Noni Juice by a lady in Ballarat after my boy had a limb salvage op and a couple of rounds of chemo and his immune system was shot to pieces. I have included part of her email to me and I would have to say even my boy didn't have quantity after all of this he did have quality and I saw results from the juice within the week, it is all natural, tastes like crap but is very good. I can honestly say to you now, after using a capsule called Cansema, a salve called Cansema, and having him on Noni juice, he RUNS now, he has a BIG smile on his face, and there is just the SLIGHTEST limp. Plus the bone is regrowing. Friends who saw him 6 months ago are amazed at the way he is walking. Edited cause I typed too fast and made heaps of typos. ;)
10. Tahitiian Noni Juice brought from the Health Food Shop is a great immune builder.
11. I put vegemite in ours and pop them in the freezer for awhile, dogs love it and keeps them amused for about 15 - 20 mins.
12. I am just about to start my boy who is very large at 11 months old on a maintenance dose of Sasha's blend, there is also Joint Guard as well but not sure about the rest. I'm sure many others may have some more recommendations for you.
13. Like the others have said, best to get a vet to check why this is happening. Water would be making it worse, similiar to when you have dry lips and you keep licking them they get worse and crack, if you have any paw paw cream use this until you get to the vets, great healing qualities and all natural so it won't affect the dog if she gets any in her mouth.
14. It sounds like you have been given lots of conflicting advice and being a new puppy owner can be a bit daunting. There are lots of wonderful people here on DOL with many many years of experience to be able to give you guidelines and ask as many questions that you want, it is better to ask and learn and no-one here minds helping people out. As to the pet shop owner  this kind of advice is wrong for many reasons and I have to seriously wonder why he feels he is qualified to give such advice, can you imagine feeding a puppy as much as he wants to eat "he wouldn't stop gorging until he vomited" so please ignore this extremely damaging advice. How old is your pup and we can give you guidelines as to what amounts to feed. Was this the breeder who you purchased your puppy from? well what can I say, she thinks she knows what she's talking about but considering you had wormed the pup 10 days before and again it is hard to judge from not knowing your pups age as to the worming schedule. Where abouts are you i.e. what state and someone may be able to put you onto someone who could maybe check the pup out for you. Remember it is always better to keep a lab lean rather than carry any excess weight will can cause serious health issues later on in life.
15. I think whatever your pup does well on is the most important thing. I feed mainly raw but also some quality dry food with vegies, rice, sardines, yoghurt and raw eggs, this suits my dogs but I would feed whatever I felt gave them the best condition. My motto is to listen to everyone's advice then takes what suits/applies to your dog and run with it.
16. I have never heard that rubbing their nose in it works basically, toilet training means persistence and I have heard quite a few people say that small dogs are harder than larger, I haven't had a problem with either size, the main thing is to be relaxed and not stress over it, like small babies or kids some learn faster than others and at different rates. Start from the beginning again and explain to hubby that it is something that requires time and patience, also let him know that if he ever had an accident he surely wouldn't appreciate his nose being rubbed in his piss. :p
17. A little bit more information would be good. E.g. how old is pup, any obedience training etc, what form of correction are you using, the more info the better idea for people to be able to respond with more information to help you. The best way to make a pup learn that jumping up is unacceptable is to ignore them, turn your back each time they do this and when they settle then give them a pat, they will learn very quickly that they only receive attention when being quiet. Another alternative is to have a lead on them and correct them when they start to jump up. Obedience training is necessary for all pups and this will in turn help out with many issues you may come across, rehoming just simply for that reason alone is a bit lame, not meaning to sound nasty but having a pup is a big responsiblity and you must put the time in with them. Good Luck.
18. Bugger would love to get to this workshop, will be in USA playing with wolves, but very interested in when Steve will be back for more.
19. Sorry to hear of your loss, RIP Chance
20. Was just thinking things must be going good, glad to hear they are, Ollie is a trooper and hopefully the meds can keep him comfortable. Enjoy every moment as they come, don't think about the future, my wish for you and Ollie is that there are many more wonderful times to be had together. Give the boy a hug and Jodie keep smiling ;)
21. Well I was on here a couple of pages ago feeling quite smug with the new chicken wire and complimentary stakes Update - Miss Naughty has worked out if you hang on the wire between the posts and put all your weight on it you can push it down far enough to jump over and eat more rose bushes 10 month lab - score 2 Human - miserable score of 1
22. Our first German Shepherd girl chewed up the book "How To Train German Shepherds"
23. Good on you for sticking to the training and don't worry about the people with small minds they obviously have something lacking in their life if they have to make small minded comments, just think your dog will probably be better trained than those ignorant people anyway.
