  1. +1 As for NSW not offering Res CC certificates.......when my Stafford was Res CC at the SBT Society Easter Show 1999 (following up on his SBIS the prior Easter), he came home with the Res rosette and a Res CC certificate. Specialty shows are an entity on their own, there are a whole lot of things offered at specialties that are not offered at your everyday champ shows.
  2. Is that Postive Feedback from the Judge??? That would be great but seems to be a rare thing, Iguess they are too busy to say much at the time, and perhaps it's not the done thing? Although I've been bouyed by encouraging comments from Judges such as "promising puppy", "what a lovely line up of beautiful bitches I have here today" and "nice job". But I think comments are rare, apart from a few 'niceities'. I do get alot of postive feedback (and constructive critism) from my fellow competitors which I value greatly. And it's not about the 10c ribbon or a piece of carboard, when I started this post I was very thrilled and happy to have been chosen for a RC, it was my first, and as the days have gone by my initial euphoria has wained somewhat. Some of your comments have made me feel that perhaps it really is no big deal. But it did give me some encouragement for a short while there to keep trying when at times I've felt like giving up, not because I don't think my dog is up to it, I know she is, her biggest handicap is me, but I've been trying hard and learning alot and felt that it was finally starting to come together. I too was thrilled when I got my first RCC but my point was that I didn't need a RCC Certificate to validate that excitement. It doesn't come with any points so is just a bit of card. When you start getting the CC, BOB and Groups etc I suspect you will realise how a lot of us feel about getting a RCC certificate.
  3. I have never seen a RCC certificate either, didn't know they existed. So how did the people who have been showing for a number of years get their jollies back then? Just the thrill of winning was enough for me, still is. How did we get encouraged? How did we learn? Have things changed that much? I still help out the newbies and oldies alike. I still clap and cheer for the newbies and oldies alike. What more do we need to do?
  4. And BEST IN SHOW was GR CH Borscana Ultima Thule (Imp Sweden) What breed is this?
  5. Steve and Jackie Wraith at Appletree are also show/breeders. They have some GORGEOUS pointers!! Lovely people.
  6. You could try here. This kennel is owned by a breeder/show person who is also a show judge. http://www.abk.com.au/
  7. Thinking something more like this, not practicle but hey, nice!!
  8. There is a large choice of vets in Wagga, I am surprised you couldn't find one to help. I am also surprised the vet didn't rehydrate the puppies. Can you PM me with the vet's name who wouldn't see you?
  9. I don't use raspberry leaf, no reason not to, just no reason to. I also don't give calcium until the whelping is over unless there is an indication that the bitch needs some during whelping. I give a drink of biolac between puppies. I had one c section and the bitch was desexed and the two bitch puppies never bred from.
  10. to go with my purple grooming box ;)
  11. Corowa numbers should be received by now.
  12. No, leaving the show open till four days before it is not what I do. Two weeks minimum. The schedule has been out for two months, that is plenty of time to send entries in.
  13. BCF in Albury defininate had the OzTrail compact on special, I bought one. The deluxe is just too heavy for me on my own.
  14. Are the roll eyes at me? Please explain. Pauline Hanson? Nay, the eye roll is for the arrogant UK man having a hissy fit about getting a RCC. No worries, totally agree.
  15. OK, so this REALLY makes sense doesn't it, the woman has lost everything and has been forced to live in her car. Now she has to pay these fines! What does she have to do? Sell the car and live under a bridge? Yep, makes real sense. Edited for typo.
  16. This is a good addition. I know of someone in Australia who has been suspended but still attends shows with her dogs and hangs around getting someone to show them. In my opinion she shouldn't even be AT a showground.
  17. ....and being able to be honest...........
  18. I miss the train wrecks and Sway's snack cart at the movies. Popcorn, choc tops, fantails, maltesers to roll down the aisles. Aaaaah, those were the days my friend...........
  19. My thoughts exactly... she was such a good girl though coming straight back I was lucky it was her and not Brett. Brett would have gone off to bring down a pony or tackle that Camel that growled at him in the morning. He thought they were alright naked, but wasn't impressed when they were wearing their nanna rugs and hats go Brett
  20. Because someone said so in another thread along with a couple of other 'not so savoury' words.
