I do visual electrophysiology Specialised eye testing that allows me to legally torture people Although I have had all the tests done to me too and they aren't that bad :D

It was sad She is actually one of my clinical trial patients so I have seen her about 5 times over the last 2 years She was a very frail lady although still full of spirit so while I didn't think she would die so soon it doesn't suprise me that much ;) Note: I haven't seen her since closer to mid-last year so I have had nothing to do with her passing!

How do you have time to get home and then back down to K9 for vetting - mate I would be exhausted! Inside edge ;) I know the organisers well (they have Lappies ) and have been told sterilised bitches won't be vetted ;) I didn't go to training on Tuesday as well so that I could leave work early tomorrow. Saying that things changed since we organised it and I now have tomorrow off anyway so Raven can have a massage in an attempt to get her sound for her big show in just over a weeks time (note: Raven is a horse) since the patient I was meant to have at work today unfortunately died :D so I swapped my patient tomorrow so I didn't have to work. ETA: if you followed the above you are doing well  Also this is the last night obedience trial and Varda would not cope with trialing during the day until the middle of winter :p

All this talk of sugar made me raid my lolly jar I am doing the obedience trial on Friday as well :D I wonder if I will be as nervous this time

Ruthlessleather.com Is About To Turn 1!

Yay will have to order a collar for Banjo now :D What time are you doing the draw? The only facebook access I have at work is on my iPhone and that won't let me tag anyone Oh and happy anniversary -
Chloe I hope you are getting spoilt for your special day
-
Yay for Lara I am sure we all agree with that sentiment Personally I will no longer have two dogs who do not get along living together anymore - my dogs are not kennels dogs that can be constantly seperated, they are members of my family and are with me where ever I am in the house. I didn't realise how stressed I was until I rehomed Robi and now both he and Banjo get the attention they deserve withouth the other missing out The right home is out there for Chance and better that home is found now rather than it being a few weeks down the track and Mason still having problems. ETA: If I had the luxury of taking a year off work to introduce a new dog I might take the time, but given I am away from home for 11 hours each work day it is just not realistic.

That is what I said
-
You are always going to have issues when you introduce a new dog, either puppy, juvenile or adult. Just try and take deep breaths You have gotten him at the worst age as well - remember he is a teenager ;) WX, I am not going to Sydney - am hoping to get to Adelaide Royal this year though Boxagirl, well done so far and good luck for the rest of the tests

As Rysup said Then you just put the joint membership number on any forms. You can send it to either state. I tend to send it to my own In Qld you have to submit a specific joint ownership form as well so the dog I have in co-own in Qld had the forms sent to WA as well

Lovely little Kelpie puppies  I want a new Kelpie.... NOW! Must have been the weekend for it though A litter was born in Perth with 4 boys and 4 girls as well

CC. She certainly is a lovely looking dog At least you thought about what is in her best interests and didn't just think about yourself
-
Yay  I look forward to seeing photos at the end of the year (fingers crossed) You love any puppy

Well done on everyones Team success! I decided to stay at home instead since we would have only had a team of 3 anyway After my day yesterday I am very glad I had Monday afternoon/evening to semi-relax!

The January teams event at Cloverdale is actually the only one where it is one round of agility and one of jumping in the same competition. Every other event is seperate jumping and agility teams comps. Although last year we rocked up at the WC having only entered jumping teams with our young dogs and were told that since we hadn't entered agility as well we were not eligible for prizes Went and checked the catalogue and it does read that it is two seperate competitions but they were adament that we had to have entered both - until it got to the presentations and they realised there were prizes for both agility and jumping seperately It is a bit of a worry when the organisers don't know how things are

Video of Banjo from last night

Agreed I am currently trying to find the energy to go and wash a horse so I can drop her off at the trainer. I had a pretty good night Banjo was Best of Breed Kelpie and was a very good boy in the ring Abbey got her first leg of ADM and was spot on through the whole course And poor Jenna unfortunately had no brain Not that I can complain since I had no brain in JDM with only a couple of dog in between my JDX, AD and then JDM runs

Have you eaten from there recently? No way could I do 4 nights of food from there LOL I must be deaf
-
Agility and Jumping tonight, Games tomorrow and Agility and Jumping Teams on Monday So a full on weekend! I think Ptolomy and I are both showing tonight and tomorrow night as well
-
I got supplies for biscuits today so hopefully I have time to cook them and then I will have them tomorrow and then I will have them for the Games and Teams events ;) I might send Mum down for takeaway tonight Maybe around 7.30pm?

I think the Dobe did pass with a score of 87 or at least when they got their 3rd prize they didn't say it was a NQ. I just assumed she had failed as only Anne, you and I were called for the stays. Either that or I am going deaf as I definitely only heard 3 numbers called!

I can join this thread today I have survived my first obedience trial and to top it off my Finnish Lapphund, Varda, got 92 in CCD at the Western Classic to earn 2nd place ;) And the marks were lost by me The judge actually told me that she probably would have gotten the top score in the heel work except I stuffed up what pace I was walking at And then I stuffed up her heel signal in the recall so Varda looked at me thinking I had asked her to stay. Oh well, at least one of us knows what she is doing Varda was actually entered in her first obedience trial about 3 years ago but came into season so missed out. She was a PITA as she cycled every 3-5 months so missed out on the other couple of trials I also entered her in. Then a failed attempt at having a litter (one still born pup ;) ) and her enthusiasm levels for trialing work went even lower which was not so great for a not very high drive dog to begin with, so she has had a break - in fact she barely gets trained as the more she trains the less drive she has :p That and the pregnancy resulted in a fat dog who did not want to lose weight! So it was a real buzz to actually get her into the ring. And my aim for the night was for her to just leave the start peg! Although I learnt last night that while I don't get nervous doing agility I definitely do when confronted with obedience! ETA: All the DOL dogs were very good children last night on the whole
-
Ncarter it was good to meet you last night and your girl is just precious I hope we see her in the show ring soon
-
well its official......... sit stays suck And you should have seen the Open judge staring down the dogs in the sit stays That looked like why your boy dropped so you need to proof him with judges truly trying to intimidate the dogs!
-
Well I don't get nervous at agility trials but I can safely say I do at obedience! Luckily Varda put up with my short comings and was a star! I think I lost all the points or miscued her to lose the points But 92 and 2nd place so I am very happy. But now I have finally done my first trial I hopefully will be better at the next one Mason did well up until the stays then go tired :D Labrat's cake was yummy as always and RS's biscuits were no where near as bad as she was making out Now onwards for agility and showing!
