  1. Hey guys sorry I've been away!!! Just put a thread (huge post) about Artemas and I in the "intros and welcome mat" forum, including photos! Here is a pretty collage of my beautiful boy:
  2. My boss rocks my world. She reminds me of my older sister, only smarter. She gave me the day off on friday so I can go get to melbourne to pick up arty, she has given me "puppy leave", and she's even letting me off an hour early tonight so I don't get to Melbourne too late!
  3. Ok, I cave, what is a GSP? I've been wondering for weeks, following each post of yours that I see Jet for some sort of clue!
  4. Oh wow Moo and Flynn are stunning. Sorry what breed is Flynn I think he's an Australian Shepherd? I am probably wrong but I've also seen merlin on here and they are both amazingly coloured animals!
  5. LESS THAN 24 HOURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS OMG OMG OMG OMG !!!!! WOOP WOOP
  6. GR - Apollo had a 9 carat gold colour to his coat, yellow gold if you will. A lot of people I know prefer the much darker colour - mahogany/red gold of the retriever, my mum and I however prefer the gold of Apollo. It will be interesting to see what colour Artemas will be, his father, Clancy (Fairdinkum) is quite pale whilst his mother Emma (Pride of Place) is (in my mind) quite dark, so not sure what colour he will come out as
  7. LOL BEST VIDEO EVER My cat Odin was on the desk with me and kept getting on the keyboard, walking around until the video played again (three times!), he kept looking at me and then the video, meowed then tried to play with the BC's tail on screen gosh I love my cat, he's such a character!
  8. I got told by my breeder that I was not allowed to get the puppy desexed prior to 8 months, and preferably no earlier than 12, I am getting a golden retriever and I am so thankful she said that because I want him to have the best chance for his bones before "having" to get him desexed. I want him desexed, but not until is optimum time for his body, and I had originally thought 6 months was the most she would give me! Hehehe
  9. I'm personally looking forward to the nesting period being over. I look like a nut with all these puppy toys and blankets lying around... without a puppy in sight it does look a little odd. But only 2 days to go, so for now I will enjoy the nesting as it is It will end soon and I am sure I will wish I could get some sleep! Early night tonight I think!
  10. If these people really wanted a companion and friend, or even just a healthy puppy, they would look into buying in person, be that from a breeder, the pound, or even from an oops litter. Buying online... even though it's a scam it still makes me ill.
  11. I thought I would get some food with the puppy so I could ease him into something else but after finding out the cost of what the puppies are currently on I don't blame her for not providing food, and we're to move them onto supercoat which is substantially cheaper. I only wish I was getting copies of his parents health certificates, even if they had COPY stamped all over them they would be helpful in my arty folder for the vet, though I've been assured I won't need them.
  12. I remember being there, it feels like it is taking forever, but soon enough yours will say 7 days and then just like mine 2 days! Ooooo can't wait tomorrow night I head to Melbourne!!!
  13. Yeah he's a golden retriever, I pick him up on Thursday. I love GSDs but am partially afraid of them too which is the only reason I didn't get one, they're such amazing dogs
  14. Woohoo! 15 that's not too far away! Are they GSD's? or?
  15. Trying so hard to be patient for arty... How do you like the new sig I made to get my mind off it?
  16. M4G I got the following: Puppy Handbook (made by the breeder, covering the breed and puppies etc) Vaccination Details Puppy pedigree Papers (when they come) That's all, some do less, some do more.
  17. All your dogs are amazing. (ed. Spelling.... >.<) This is what owning a dog is to me. Seeing it grow from a puppy, not sure of the world but so curious and willing, into a teen where they're all legs and gangly fun, to an adult who is by your side and part of your life. I cannot wait to start my journey with Artemas and though I don't have such differing pictures to show I have finally decided that even though I don't have him yet, this "courting" period is still as much a part of our journey as later will be. This is Arty a day or two in (I think!) I think one of these are Arty (forgive me there are over 12 puppies and I don't want to spam the board) at about 2-3 weeks (again I think): Arty about a week and a half ago (at 6 weeks old):
