Sway has peed in the ring twice now!!! It lasts forever. Im yet to pee or fall over in the ring myself yet
-
I know!! Were happy if she doesn't shit in the ring, and i don't fall over
-
I would also do a little cheer, i like the dogs out there that have personality and not just being a robot. Just ask Sway, she thinks it's her job to taste test all the judges I know many showies will title there dogs, then do obediance as to not over lap the two. Many showies don't use signals or commands. The ring is a very quiet place. It's almost an instant thing, you stop they stack.

Well behaved dog should come first. Now where is the fun in that, it's like beating your self and bragging about it
-
I do it under 30 seconds, so im not taking to long. Well most of the time, My issue is they give older dogs time, not younger ones. Id prefer home and public manners then an obediance title. No that wasn't bitchy it was the truth. Obediance should start at home, and no dog/child should impose on others.
-
Id be happy if they let me stack first before mouthing her

You were used as an example, as you had posted it already. No need to get all defensive about it. Nerves don't only effect the handler, they also effect the dog. So if the dog is taught 3-4 different things when we stop, i can see how they also get confussed. And what comman is given? Many "show" dogs have no commands. I won't say all because that is not the case. No one says it's not safer for them to sit at a curb.

Im not talking using commands as you are. Im talking in the flow of things with no commands.

LOL - here I am with my obedience dogs that jump on people but that is only cos I haven't really trained them otherwise - they would never do any of the other things you say (table manners)... but I just had to giggle to myself It it can, if something is performed at the wrong time. But not always. I agree with Chezzyr - Like you Sway - i'm new to the ring - BOTH of my dogs probably do more obedience than showing and both realise (Leo has only been in the show ring about 3 times) the difference - neither have tried to sit when I stack them or deliberately break gait (only when I have run too fast - as I said - newbie ). So I don't think obedience affects their showing standards...... Table manners and jumping are my pet peeves. Sway will lunge/jump to get up to your chest to say hello when excited, I hate it, i have to have a really short lead and pull he back down. We have been working on it for a few weeks now, she is getting better. The part i find the hardest, is getting people to ignore her so she can learn it's not acceptable. Table manners around kids is a big fear of mine, dogs who don't have manners can easily take a childs finger when it snatches food. Showing standard is different to ability to be shown. Look at Eddie he sat on the way back from his up and back, obedience dog. Sway up and back will stand. She has never been taught to sit when we stop, unless given the command to do so. She will sit though if asked. Many obedience dogs will sit when there handler stops, in the show ring you can't have that. That is the biggest thing i notice. I als see agility dogs, think it's great to jump onto the table

Im extremly new to the show ring. And it's different i will say that. How do you know they were looking down on it, you assumed that. I don't do ring/sport obedience, Yet i do social/public/household obedience. That means, no jumping on people, sitting when asked, waiting to eat before snatching it, no taking food out of peoples hands etc It it can, if something is performed at the wrong time. But not always.

A neighbours bulldog did this years ago. (they no longer have him) He had splints on his feet for months.
-
Obedience, to me is different as it would be to you. I want a socaily accepted obediant dog.
-
How did you go, Any results yet?
-
Oppsss I use the dremel first, then soak. If you do it the other way around, the skin is to soft and it turns to mush on the dremel bit
-
I do my elbows and heels aswell
-
Yes it is. By the time the seller adds his fees etc he would be getting maybe $2 profit from that sale.

HI Tony, I'll take a guess. 18 weeks old, i would say hormones and teething kicking in. Sore gums, teeth and a general unwell feeling all over. It makes them do weird and wonderful things. Has anything else been changed in the house? Diet, routine etc?

Sway couldn't do a tight right about turn.... Due to the size of my arse
-
I did a DOL search and found this info posted

I read today a few Dane people are using this.

Yep has the bits for nails. has 60 bits to chose from. You can also buy more bits if you want. And the bits for my nails, rough heels and the kids toys. I use it to neaten up sharp plastic on the kids toys if it has some. Im not sure if Mitre 10 would have them or not.
