  1. Just a fork- no photoshopping...and greatly reduced in size/res. data fuji finepix S8000fd focal length 9.8 mm exposure time 1/500 ISO 100 exposure shutter priority
  2. I think she should see a vet today... If she is miserable- she could have an infectiopn- OR something stuck in the nasal passages Dogs' nasal passages are not nice & smooth like ours- there are all sorts of spots something can lodge. Hope she is ok soon!
  3. Good news *fingers crossed for you and your dog *!
  4. That sounds a very good plan! feed her a few times a day- make her sit and wait-- lots of praise for finishing her food...
  5. You have done very well- both of you!!
  6. We don't have tennis balls- I will have a think now- good idea, btw!!
  7. Glad you were with her to help her over the bridge RIP Kirah
  8. Honey needs some time, some guidelines, and lots of consistency- praise and correction at appropriate times, and a belief that she will get there !!!! (just like a human child who is behind the eightball at school--- baby steps- get one thing done properly at a time ...) BREATHE......................
  9. :D- hope it is something which can be fixed....
  10. Oh,Dear---- first up- are you saying you locked pup in the laundry with the machine going??? :D Poor pup. The noise in a confined area would not have been good at all. No wonder she won't go back there- it was her 'safe' area- now it is not. Honey is institutionalised, and retarded in her devleopment. May I recommend you give us your location so someone can recommend a trainer/behaviourist for you? Very good advice can be obtained from forums like this- but 1:1 sessions with a professional are the best way to go,I think. One thing I will tell you- do NOT cuddle or 'comfort' Honey- this is ,in effect, praising her for being fearful/howling, etc. Give her HEAPS of quiet praise when she is being bold and settled .... It's hard to NOT comfort a tiny shivering thing- but dogs aren't human bubs, and it works differently Glad you have come here- you will get a lot of useful info with which to work!
  11. Another cat called away suddenly So sorry- R I P Angelus
  12. ;) At 11 weeks she is plenty big enough to enjoy chewing bones! The bigger necks, and wings may be better- less likelihood of her gulping down chunks! Turkey necks may be something to consider as well- whole chicken carcases, or pieces of lamb flap -with bone in. Unless a pup is very tiny, I am scared of using chicken necks- their diameter is almost the same as a dog oesophagus- and can be gulped/swallowed, and become stuck :p This becomes a higher risk if the necks are cut into sections... these sections are easily swallowed.... Not really- IMO-dogs don't need things made with flour You may enjoy reading thru THIS THREAD - It will get you thinking!
  13. and------------- your dog has picked up on this- so he may be 'getting in first' best get a behaviourist in- to assess and explain the communication sent&received between you, your dog, and other dogs/humans.
  14. I agree- MUCH better something which can be treated/avoided I had an allergic dog for years & years ..no fun for anyone
  15. snotty noses aren't the norm- so get it checked
  16. urk fungus? yeast? Dunno- sorry...
  17. What a gorgeous looking boy - I am so sorry for you, labRADor .
  18. Altho feeding a puppy with diarrhoea isn't a good idea - It is a good sign that he has an appetite Hopefully the vet will be able to help. *It is the usual protocol to withhold food for about 24 hrs to give the gut a rest- then just feed easily digested ,bland food, like boiled chicken and rice, for a while....
  19. I have it tucked away for future reference- love the way it's all explained
  20. That's a good start! I only talk to, pat, our guys if they have done what is asked of them
  21. It sounds as if she needs more tests/scans to find out what's happening- poor girl.Basically , feed her whatever she wants and can fit in!! Thinking of you...
