Was a perfect day for a walk.... took Tarni, the Bride and the Kids to Killarney today and it was lovely. Thought about catching you guys but Tarni is in season so I decided to avoid 'doggy' areas!!! I'm loving that GSP you met today.... any more pics??? I'm trying to work out who the 'eighth' dog was joining you... You had the Awesome-Foursome, Shannon had Maws and Miggs, Janet had Sniff.... that's only 7. So I demand to know.... WHO'S GOT A NEW DOG?????????????????? :laugh:

You are totally right... we love doing it! We did an incursion at one particular school where there was an Indian boy who had witnessed some pretty awful things by the Cobras native to his home-land.... he was deathly afraid of all snakes and refused to participate in our presentation. But with some quiet patience, and the help of the 'perfect' snake, within an hour we had this boy smiling from ear to ear, with a dirty great Python around his neck, for a photograph. You can't put a price on something like that. I love my job! :laugh:

Love to but I'm working Supposed to be a nice day, I think. Gonna get up early and take Tarni to the beach for a good ol' romp and then off for a bath (it's been a while... she's a bit on the nose!) Never see you guys anymore.... Like ships in the night. Oh well... I'm sure you'll all live! :laugh: We've been busy launching our 'other' new business.... the legalities have been a total nightmare but we are done, ready to roll, and the bookings are already streaming in! :) AND HERE IT IS!

Well it sounds as though you gals had a fun time on the weekend! I will forgive you for not being home when I visited, as I never arranged it... just a spur of the moment thing. ;) Nice work RP winning breed classes with your youngsters! Much as I 'hate' dog showing these days, I must admit to missing the 'scene' just a little. I guess there's nothing stopping me getting along to the odd dog show (actually they are all 'odd') but I only get one or two days off each month and would feel guilty going to a dog show instead of spending it with the kidlettes!

Hey Tenties! I stopped-by last night to visit you and RP but there was no-one home! I went past at about 7am and saw RP was there so stopped on my way home to see you both. Did you guys camp at the grounds? Anyway..... how did the pair of you get on at the shows??? I'm thinking it was a decent entry as I saw countless dog-trailers heading your way early AM as I drove to Melbourne. How did the little fella go? Was it his first show?

Funny you should ask, tlc... I just drove in to town for Pizza and went past Primes new store for the first time. It looks really nice in there.... much cleaner & brighter! Are they open on Sundays these days? I need some 'stuff' and wouldn't mind having a sticky in the new shop. :) ETS.... Enjoy you days away, tlc!

Just a reminder to you all.... This DOL Forum IS a public forum and can be read by members and non-members alike. Even our friendly little "local thread" here can be read by absolutely anyone. I'm sure you are all well aware of this, and I'm absolutely POSITIVE no-one here has said anything they shouldn't and I'm sure as hell not going to delete or modify ANY past posts!!! It seems there is someone in our midst (great! we love new members!), who has been reading this thread (that's fine, that's what it's here for!) and has MISCONSTRUED MUCH of what has been said! It appears we have been accused of BAGGING OUT a particular local business (???) Now, I have read back over the "posts in question" and no-one has "bagged-out" anyone. A DISCUSSION was had, and nothing more. I operate my own local business and I find discussions online about my service, products and prices a LOT! I generally don't get involved, even when they are negative comments.... everyone has an opinion and I leave it at that! Unfortunately in this day and age, 'private' discussions are now available for the World to see (and join in on!) and that's just something we need to be aware of, both as members of the Public and as local Business operators. I shouldn't be overly concerned though, as the grammar, punctuation and truncated form of the PM I received would suggest it has come from a child, which would explain why everything they have read has been misunderstood in the first place. :)

G'Day all! Hope you all survived the heat today and found a nice bit of shade for the BBQ. I didn't get out of work til about 5pm so didn't bother going down. The number of dog trailers I have seen since about 1pm suggests it was an early finish! I might sneak down early tomorrow for a while... see if there are any Vizslas about (I'm sure Donna was entered!). Let us know how your day went. :)

I think 38 is the cut-off.... could be wrong. Knowing Warrnambool as I do, it's likely to be raining all day with chilling coastal winds blowing straight in off the ocean! :laugh:

Awwww thanks.... I am a proud Grandad. These babies will all be going off to other Licensed Reptile Demonstrators (such as our "Kinder Kritters") to help educate young people on the importance of reptiles in our environment. :) They are all thriving and have grown noticeably today already. tlc these guys are about the size of your index finger and within about 12 months will be well over a foot long and very 'substantial'. (here's a pic of our finished van too.....)
