  1. Would love to finally meet you all but have to work all week. Normally only weekends would suit but even THEY are booked up until after easter with a wedding, interstate guests, puppies etc. Maybe next time.
  2. I would be interested in one or two of my vizslas doing therapy - beautiful temperaments and have always thought they'd be perfect in PAT. Keep us posted with regards to this.
  3. Hi Munchin - YOU must be the person driving the maroon wagon with 2 DOL stickers on the back! Please say it is you - Pandii is going out of her MIND trying to work out who it is!
  4. Many years ago I used to date a girl who volunteered at the RSPCA shelter here and at that time there was only one paid member of staff - the manager. All others were voluntary. I used to clip desperate dogs for them for free to help as none of the staff had any experience with this. (For those who don't know me: I opened the "Doggy Heaven" grooming salon on Fairy street MANY years ago but sold it when I went to W.A.) I agree - they should have more bags/bins around town. It might encourage people to clean up after their dogs! As far as reg fees go, I think I heard $80 also. No excuse for a lack of bags/bins then!
  5. Sorry tlc - didn't see the article (I don't read the 'sub-standard' often) but heard this week on 3YB's 'Vet Talk' that reg fees are increasing GREATLY but desexed dog reg fees will stay the same. Doesn't help me as a breeder!!! I assume this will take effect from July 1st. ETA - Luckily they only know about two of mine!
  6. Haven't seen her. Where does she normally walk them? No ridgeback breeders listed on DOL in the area.
  7. My eldest goes to WPS (Jammieson St) and thats where I saw the DOLer. Free DOL bumper stickers - see DOL homepage (down the bottom).
  8. I was behind a DOLer this morning while dropping the kids off at school on my way to work. Do any of you drive a burgandy ford wagon with DOL stickers? Or is there another DOLer around here we don't know about? I was behind you in the white 4X4 with DOL/Vizsla stickers on!
  9. By the way, any Warrnambool DOLers have a large heated/unheated whelping box they might be prepared to hire out in May? We built our last one but dismantled it when we were done because it was HUGE and a pain to store! I only have a litter every couple of years so can't justify buying one - especially as I move thm out into kennels quite young weather permitting.
  10. It IS a small world - Until recently I lived just around the corner ON Whites Rd! I'm sure you've sen my dogs 'russet noses' watching you from under the gate!
  11. I live on Garden street (near Brierly) but usually go to Killarney beach a few times a week with my lot. I normally go right to the end of the track off Mahoneys Rd, past the boat ramp to the end - hardly ever run into anyone there. There is another vizsla breeder in Warrnambool (believe it or not!) and she sometimes goes to Killarney. Anyone else get down there? Might be a good spot to meet some time.
  12. Yeah I would be up for some 'show training'. Exhibited my vizslas for years but am getting back into showing after a loooong break. Probably need to brush up on some skills!
  13. This thread is a photo and chat thread for DOLers in Warrnambool and surrounds and is rarely used as a social events organizer. Those with dial-up internet connection need to be aware that it is photo intensive.
