  1. ...... will be going to Killarney with my lot in the morning unless I hear otherwise on here, so please post early with what's going on...please!!!
  2. I enjoyed that - it's the first time ever I have had cause to use the "Nah-Nah" emoticon!!!
  3. Bootiful babies, Tenties! I'm sure I posted puppy pics here. Or maybe was on another thread? Will have a look.... *Scuttles out* *Scuttles back in* - Aha!!! Tenties I urge you to see Page 52, Post #773 & Page 53, Post #790.
  4. Tenties - sorry to hear about Laang - those Bastards!!! But... Congratulations on your recent arrivals! Large litters for Tenterfields, I would have thought?
  5. TLC: Wishing you a belated "Happy Birthday!!!" Sorry for the lateness - haven't had much DOL time, of late! :p :p
  6. Cosmolo, Relax already!!! When I have prospective puppy buyers in my home to meet the dogs and ourselves, I have already ALMOST decided that I would sell them a pup, from letters, emails, phone conversations etc. The meet & greet is just to confirm my decision. The breeder should know enough about you already by this stage. We just hang around having a cuppa and talk dogs for a while before I even bring any dogs into the house for them to meet. Only once have I changed my mind about some body having a pup and that was with a very recent litter. The couple arrived dressed in their Sunday best - tweed jacket and slacks, enough jewellery to buy the whole litter etc. I assumed they were just trying to make a good impression. Then, when I let in a bunch of rowdy dogs, my opinion changed. The woman screamed as the pups mother jumped up for pats, and the man backed into a corner away from the ruccuous! They then spent the next 10 minutes trying to remove some dog hair from her jacket while I am giving them the run-down on my dogs and never heard a word I said! They did not even pat the dogs, nor ask which one was 'Mum' etc. My sixteen month-old daughter can handle the dogs when they're carrying on like that! Needless to say, I never even showed them the pups... I dont think YOU have anything to worry about Cosmolo! Best of luck with your new Jack!
  7. Well I FEEL like a newbie! I'm hitting the ring again for the first time in about 10 years and as nervous as my very first time! I'm starting again with a baby so at least I can hide my poor handling behind her behaviour...
  8. TLC - She'll settle down. Taken her out of the puppy kennels and moved her in with the 'big' dogs so she's got some company... We call her 'Tarni' - As her name is "Jerojath Tarnagulla". Don't really like the name Tarni but it sought of just stuck!
  9. Mop & Top Dogs, Burgandy Street Heidelberg West are excellent! Daphna trained in the states and teaches there too. I learnt to groom there and know how good they are. Not too far from Mill Park I don't think...
  10. Hey Tenties - any sign of pitter-patter of tiny white feet yet? Must be getting close for the girls now..... The last of my pups left us this morning so just the one we are keeping left here now. She's very upset now she's all alone....
  11. RJ - I think it was just you, me & tenties who wanted to do show training - hopefully there are others. I think Harris St would suit, on the oval. I'd be happy there. Yeah lets get started - I have a 2.5 year old BITCH who has her first shows in August and I've done nothing with her!
  12. Nope! Went to Harris St years ago when I first lived in Warrnambool and thought they were useless! I stuck it out through a few classes hoping I'd get a reasonable instructor but found they were all from the dark ages. Admittedly things may have changed a lot since then....(?) I used to train & instruct at Knox ODC in Melbourne and the two clubs are worlds apart. I would definately give Brierly a go if I could use a check.
  13. Nope definalty no chocker chains allowed!! Thay's a shame... I want to start training Tarni to trial eventually, but I like a check chain so Brierly is out. Problem is I don't like the Harris St Club so I may just have to do it alone! What's the latest re show training? Anyone know?
  14. Yeah, but they didn't stay down long..... still had 'morning' sickness at 9:30pm! Guess this calls for another......
  15. Would love to Pandii but Jake has a party to go to and I HAVE TO get to Bunnings today for some stuff before my remaining puppies escape forever!
  16. Heard of a Dancing Panda, NOW we've got a Dancing Pandii Hey, tell your OH there is some real 'talent' here tonight!
  17. Is it just me, or is there an unusually excessive amount of: going on around on this thread?
  18. Pandii I got no sympathy for the Pup - self inflicted illness! I still feel pretty crap but am at work now and will knock off around midnight I'd reckon. Think OH Pandii is coming in for a drink while I'm at work and probably go out after that. That is, if I'm not still :D !
  19. Hi Pandii & OH Pandii - wont be going out tonight, I have left work early sick and am gonna try and sleep. Throwing up everywhere..... Might be ok for tomorrow night though......? Have fun if you go out and say Hi to the Speckled Pup for me.
  20. I'd be in that! Don't want a real late night though - long day ay work tomorrow. Let me know when you go out...
  21. Of course! We are keeping Tarni (You can see her on the DOL Vizsla dog profiles - Jerojath Tarnagulla) Yay! Less poop! Would love to go for a walk sunday - give me a call. I may go to Killarney beach sunday so if anyone is interested..... ETA - another gone now... down to three.
  22. Well my babies have started leaving. Three left yesterday on their planes and when I got back from Melbourne two more left during the afternoon, so down to four. I have another going today and another in the morning. One girl is here til next Saturday so at least my little one will have one for company for a little longer. I feel quite sad about it (always do!) as we virtually dedicate our lives to the dogs when we have puppies - make it virtually a full-time job so when they all leave in a hurry the kennels suddenly feel very empty & quiet. All the new owners are happy with their new babies and all called me last night and this morning to let me know how they're getting on. Looking foeward to being able to get out on some walks with you lot again though!
