Happy Birthday Evil Beagle!! And huge congrats to Huski for sticking with it, when I'm sure sometimes it would have been easier just to stake her out on the front lawn with a "free to ANY home" sign around her neck... :D She's a credit to you

Thanks guys, will tell Buzz to be patient

Huge congrats to DOLer RoxyNHemi for handling my lovely mother-in-law's Standard Poodle boy "Cash" to... Best Exhibit In Show at the Perth Royal Show yesterday!! :D Cash's usual handler & co-owner Peter was unfortunately away at work, so Sarah stepped in and did a great job! Cash was loving the crowds and cheering, and had a big grin on his face all day Piccies below... Also, Congrats to DOLer Boxagirl and her boss for Granger the Afghan's RUBIS - he looked beautiful! Piccies of him... And also well done to DOLer Winpara for taking most of these lovely pics!

I only say “largest” to illustrate that they are the ones with the pups, and so if I don’t take one from there it is hard to find another in WA. The whole purpose of my thread is to get other recommendations because this large breeder has such a bad rep in these forums. So why you would say “if you like their stock go buy it” is beyond me?(Although having said that, NOBODY has offered any concrete criticism against this breeder. Except that their dogs don’t look like flatcoats.) There is one other breeder in WA who will have some pups in a few months, so I’m happy to go there, but again I’m just not sure if the “go East” message applies to them also? As PF said, no-one is going to come out on a public forum with the gory details, true or not... however, did you not read vCBR's post?? I have quoted below: But hey, people have offered alternative sources of puppies, including WA breeders who do the right thing by the breed by health testing and are proud enough of what they produce to compete in several performance arenas, so I'm not sure what more you want from us? ;) Enjoy your pup wherever he or she may come from. ETA: I see you have acknowledged the other referrals in the post you made whilst I was typing - hope that they can help with your quest for a new Flattie!

Great (and Tragic) Post About Walking Dogs On Lead
Poo-Fong replied to megan_'s topic in General Dog Discussion
How sad - this happened in WA ;) Roberts Road in Subi is very busy, about 5 mins out of Perth City Centre and a major thoroughfare road so I would sincerely hope that the owner of this poor dog was not irresponsible enough to be walking their dog off-leash in that area ... either way, an absolute tragedy for all concerned. RIP poor puppy. -
Well done!!!

Thanks Mirawee!!

The end of an era - so very sorry for your loss. Rest well Evie

Sorry I missed you!! I was on the lookout for a blonde and a redhead today but didn't see anyone that fitted the description and had no idea where/who you would be sitting with... Will you be at Hound Day at the Royal? Buzz had a lovely weekend; Baby in Show yesterday at the Sighthound show (not quite by default; the only other baby was another Whippet - Whipitgood's new little one Georgie - got some lovely comments from the judge though who was quite taken with him so that was nice!) and was in the last two for Baby in Show today - the judge ran us and a Beagle and the Beagle got it. Not to mention I won the raffle at the Sighthound show yesterday! Not going to Geraldton so next show for us is the Royal, which will be Buzz's last show in Baby! Well done Mas on Mason's wins! Mirawee, Gaz is adorable :p Ptolomy - Has your heart resumed it's regular rhythm yet? I hate snake season ST, did you show Charlie at the Working Dog Show today? Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! ETA: Welcome home Lincoln!

Huge congrats!!! You must be thrilled, and rightly so

Hairy Xolo :p YAY 10 points to CC what a good brain you have there!! It is a coated Xolo, just thought I would share here. What a gorgeous dog!!! they look so different to the naked ones Tiggy, your Sophie looks a little like a staffy friends of ours had many years ago - she was known as the Brindle Frog. She was such a tiny girl, and such a sweet nature! So there will be some of you obedience nuts at K9 on Sunday arvo?? I may wander down and have a peek!! It will be so much easier to know who is who - gets quite confusing for me on here! Specially when everyone else seems to know each other ;) Sparky - was it Walyunga Park you went to with the Weis??? That reminds me - when heading home from Perth the other week, we drove next to a Wei in a four wheel drive with a Trackwest sticker on the back window.......Hehe, Wei seemed to enjoy being chauffeured around, even had the window down for a breeze in his/her ears I am so excited about this weekend To catch up with some of my doggy friends will be soooooo much fun! PD888 (ooh, I hope I got your name right :D ) will you be showing the whippies on Sunday??? Bedazzled & Ptolomy, good luck and have fun over east!! Yep, Buzzy & I will be there! ;) See you there!

Well done vCBR on Lincoln's wins, Mirawee on the horsey wins and RS on Millie Moo's awesome score & 1st place!! Teensy brag from me - Buzz was Baby in Group again today so was pleased with that - two weekends in a row! Gorgeous weather at K9 today - had a lovely day with friends

Oh Han, I'm so sorry. It's the hardest decision to make, isn't it, but you know you are doing the right thing. Sometimes the best way we can show our love for them is to let them go peacefully. Hugs to you & your family for tomorrow Don't feel guilty about longing to see your boy; life goes on, as much as sometimes we wish it wouldn't, and it would be so wrong not to enjoy every moment of life we can with our doggy mates who are still here - treasure them and make the most of every minute we have them ;)

Forgot to report back (did it on Facebook :D) It was SO MUCH FUN!! :D I am a complete unco and my legs weren't going where they should half the time but loads of fun and we certainly worked up a sweat! There was only about 9 of us there so would be good to see a few more next week!
