  1. I heard from an exhibitor there that one judge was reluctant to judge a specific breed....apparently that breed is not accepted in thier home country....

I have also heard that several breeds from different groups have had NIL awards handed out, including some mulitiple BIS winners and a couple of Gr Chs....

She's an Irish Setter. ;) She belongs to a friend of mine and is simply stunning.

I'm another one that loves seeing all the results.

Well done to the Bracco. I've never even seen one shown here in Brisbane since I've been showing. I would love to meet one in person one day. :D

OOOPPPS sorry - I was really only working from memory and thought it was an English.... so apologies...

  4. Well we are going to the Royal for the first time this year and these stories do very little to boost my confidence in my well laid plans....an acquaintance that has done the Royal for many many years has organised parking for us.... I am going to try and be there early because as those of you who know me can attest, I hate being late and then feeling rushed... I'm a bit anal about planning....

I also agree with Morscha.... if and its a big IF, I get there and there are issues with parking etc. then I will write a letter outlining what could be done better and in what fashion. As a past club secretary I can tell you that it was always nice to complemented when our club got things right...and as they say 'you catch more flies with honey' so rather than ripping it up secretaries, if exhibitors only approached them with something like diplomacy and made nice subtle suggestions.... well enough said.

Good luck to all those showing over the next couple of days.... I have several friends with different breeds so will get a report on the parking etc each day from them....

  5. I bought a great suit at the Yass show this year... .live in the jacket and swap pants over with two other pairs.... so I would love another jacket, same style but different colour/s. I'm pretty certain it was an 18W.

Trouble is I just cant remember who the people were that were selling the suits.... anyone able to give me thier contact details?

  6. I would just like to say a very big thankyou to all those who have helped with info about the Melb. Royal :whisper: as this is my first Royal it's all a bit daunting and nerve racking, so to all those that gave advice cheers  and karma is a beautiful thing i'm sure some will fall your way  , and good luck :champagne:

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

  7. Hi,

Hunter Valley Kennel Club NSW today - Group 3 Judge Mr G Whitefield NZ - Bracco Italiano - Raki's Place Viva owned by Joseph and Renata Mirto (Hipoint Pointers) went Best in Group. This is the first BIG award for a Bracco in Australia.

    What a great result

I'm another one who likes seeing all the show results in one thread

I totally agree and think that this thread is now operating in the fashion that the op intended.

  9. OK so now I am going to show my complete ignorance. This is our first Royal... now I have parking organised, and am entering at gate 7.

It appears that the clumbers are going to be in Block F, so that is where we are benched - Correct?

So if that is the case, where are we showing? Is it near F Block? Inside / Outside? Is there a loud speaker system or how do we know when we are beinbg called if we are spread all over the place?

Dumb questions I know but I am pretty anal when it comes to making sure I know exactly what I am doing... and am not happy until I can 'see' each step in my mind.
