  1. Rather intersesting Anne. I was reading on the weekend about doctor who got a brain tumour and she went against the medical advise. I think she has written a book. She was in the UK and has now come back to Sydney. Alos mentioned the Neourologist from Sydney who was on RPA and how he went against advice. The lady doc could not belive what happened to her. probably sad that she will die before ant change happens to doctors treatment of terminal illness.
  2. Hi I hope it all goes well for you. My first Cav had a lump removed which was benign but then she chewed her bandages which caused them to swell cutting off the circulation. This then mnet she had to have her tail removed to the level of the surgery. Cavs look funny with no tail. No problems after removal of tail wagged her whole back end instead.
  3. As suggested look around your local obedience clubs. They start new people evry week then you slip intot the puppy class. All the best.
  4. As much as we like to Pooh Hoo all this. Sometimes things are unexplainable. So one can not be a true doubter.
  5. Insulin arrived safely and Bigdaz did not get busted as a drug runner. Many many thanks to karmer for his wonderful donation to Spice. BigDaz you are a champion.
  6. I do not liek VIP as its very greasy. Also dogs do not like it. I used to use protapak but Coles stopped supplying it. So I now use Coles brand which looks very like protapak ;) I use a thin sliver mixed with dry and they love it will dig it out first. ;)
  7. Anne I know BBJ said she would look but there might some over in Box Hill as there is a lot of Chinese living around there. Glad Sophie is doing well. to you both.
  8. Kick a warm, sleepy puppy outside at 4-5 in the morning in winter? :p Another vote for a crate beside your bed. I have a 13 week old here who, since 9 weeks old has slept right through (from 10.30pm-8am onwards). Absolutely not who is that cruel to leave a puppy out in winter, the question is referring to when her partner gets up at 7am to let the puppy out not the first time it gets up. I actually know a lot of people who find it acceptable to sleep a 14+ week old puppy outside (in winter no less), provided they have shelter and a warm kennel. My vet tells me under these circumstances it should be fine, my puppy school instructor echoes these sentiments and several others at my puppy class and various friends have placed their puppies outside in a kennel from the day they got them. Hence, I'm surprised to hear people reacting so negatively over the concept here. At what age do you all believe dogs can be placed in a kennel outside or are people of belief that they should sleep indoors for life? Please note, once again I'm merely asking a question- please refrain from any vitriolic responses. A kennel could not be warm unless you heated it. Its been 2 deg overnight in Melbourne lately. I would be horrified if a pup I breed was outside at the moment. I do not know much about the schnauser breed but I breed cavs. I believe they should be inside with unlimited access to outside. How far inside is a personal thing. Mine sleep on the bed. A friend has them in the laundry with a door. Our laundry is outside so not suitable. I could leave mine in the kitchen as that is were the door goes into. As to permanently outside I say never as I come from a family that has always had inside dogs. They do get shut out in the day time on occasions.

  17. But if the OP would really like to help the pups I suggest Fenuegreek Powder added to the food. One heaped tespoon per meal. This can be obtained from some supermarkets or from and Indian Spice shop often they also hire out Indian Videos/DVD's. Fenuegreek is well recognozed as increasing milk supply.
