  1. Only one Grey Rebel. I like the idea of Friday night shows, even though I can't make it to most of them. I think it's good to get a few more shows backing onto each other... one lot of grooming and you get a couple of shows out of it!! Even better that this one precedes a double the next day!
  2. Got my numbers for this, they came really quickly. I'm not going but my dog is so I'll be watching keenly for results :D :D Group 1 - 116 Group 2 - 59 Group 3 - 105 Group 4 - 64 Group 5 - 86 Group 6 - 100 Group 7 - 78 Total entry - 608 I must say, I think it is the first time I've received a breed breakdown. Very exciting :p EFS
  3. Group 1 was the Mal Rubig (I think) the Pug Minor the Cav Not sure about the rest.
  4. I've just sent Ashley an e-mail to ask the question about show training in the western suburbs, will see what he says :)
  5. I think it's good. Warrior was 9 months in this pic Cool, thanks! I'm sure mine will be much smaller being a wee fluffer :D
  6. I got one set of Lady Bay numbers today, still waiting for two from Warrnambool and one from Lady Bay.. .they'd best arrive tomorrow!
  7. I have a set, i can bring them this weekend for you to try out if that helps :-)
  8. My Warrnambool one has been, I had an issue with my Lady Bay cheque and it bounced, but I sent them a new one about a week ago and called to confirm that was ok. I just get stressed if I don't get the numbers... lol.. that and I'm taking another dog with me and their numbers haven't arrived either.. grr
  9. Checked my mail today and still nothing! I'm a sad panda I hope they get here tomorrow!
  10. If he headed out Geelong way I'd be more likely than not to go. . Would be much cheaper than travelling to kcc.
  11. I haven't been a a show training class myself... availability and proximity are important to me (and have been an issue)... but also knowing that the person doing the training is someone I would want to learn from, that I can watch that person in the ring and think 'yes, that is how I would like to handle'. If I thought someone's behaviour in the ring was unsportsmanly or unbecoming, I wouldn't want to pay good money to learn from them. There is someone I have seen who handles themselves well in the ring, presents well and behaves well.. just a shame they're too far away! I would contribute more but not having done a class I'm not really sure what is normal for one anyway.
  12. I'll be camping there this year, I've heard it's pretty good in terms of facilities etc.
  13. Yay... I got the Thurs/Fri numbers today, that was all I entered. Yay.
  14. I was just talking about this.. no numbers here either... it's a bit annoying!
  15. There were a lot of scratchings, but in general the judges did do things quickly. We were all out of there before the worst of the heat hit and the dogs were all very well taken care of.
  16. LOL you must've posted this just as I commented on the other YVKC thread. Very interested to know about Sunday.
  17. What are the chances that the Sunday show will still be on given the forecast is 36 degrees??
  18. Everything that MM said, I think the do's and don'ts... ring etiquette and getting the best out of your dog would be the most important for me.
  19. For me coming up with names is one of the best parts of having a litter and I want my litters to stick with a theme. My first litter I knew what their names would be as soon as the second pup was born (Wednesday Addams and Pugsley Addams) and my second litter I had a theme picked as soon as I knew the sexes of all of them (my theme was conditional on 3 boys minimum)... but I had one family lined up before I submitted the paperwork so I sent them a shortlist of names to choose from and they picked their favourite two. I like involving the families, but ultimately I want the names to fit and I want to be happy with them.
  20. XWeizee Weifor Weinot (can't remember if someone has said that one already) Weisguys
  21. I'm voting for Lowchen! But I may be biased. Not a lot of people know about the breed, but they are gorgeous, fun loving and very agile. I've found for the most part they are good at matching your pace and being the cuddly lapdog or the energetic agility dog/ball chaser. They are not yard dogs though, they need their people.
