  1. Lol. I just went and checked my tyres - I got nothing!
  2. Dory I was told that for urine smells you could spray vinegar over the area. I don't know if that would work for dog poo smell though....
  3. Hi all! I can only assume that, because things are warming up here in sunny Qld, smells are starting to come out! As I got out of my car to open the gate, I got as massive wiff of dog poo!! I was shocked! I've walked along the perimeter of the property (1.5 acres) and wandered through it, and I can't find ANYTHING that would create such a smell! No massive fresh deposits or older piles - nothing. How can I make this smell go away? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm actually very embarrassed! I have 2 beagles. Thanks :-)
  4. I have 2 beagles - very much merry little hounds. Food/scent driven, must be part of the family - I can't imagine having outside beagles, these 2 have their own special spot on the couch lol. They do shed, IMO they shed a lot. We have to be very careful before we go to work to ensure no dog hair on our clothes. They are loving, cuddly, loyal and lazy. Zoomies and walks everyday, and we are on 1.5 acres. They just chill on the verandah most of the time. I will always have at least 1 beagle, and always have 2 dogs at all times.
  5. Beautiful. I too can't wait to see him grow and learn. You and your family are very blessed x
  6. We feed VAN complete mix - adult, and add some of the VAN joint powder, as our female beagle was getting stiff - no issues now she is on the joint powder.
  7. I'm not content to be fat, far from it. What makes you think, from the people who have posted about being overweight, that they are content to be fat? Edited for detail. Haven't read the entire thread! I'm not saying that people are necessarily 'content' to be overweight, but the fact that their dog's health is of import but their own isn't strikes me as odd. Have you ever considered that controlling the diet and weight of a dog might be a lot easier than controlling your own diet and weight? Obesity is a complex problem. Good grief. Talk about assumptions and judgements. This thread is filled with them. This.

  9. I'm fat, my beagles have a lovely trim waist.
  10. We only trusted Greencross at Ellen Grove, until we moved out past Marburg. I'd go back to Greencross at Ellen Grove in a heartbeat.
  11. Janitor who moonlights as a saxophonist Funny, I seriously love the sax!!
  12. It's not my thing, but I can't help think how talented the person must be to create those images on the dogs.
  13. VAN complete adults rock my world. One meal per day - Mix it with sardines in spring water, or minced chicken frames, sometimes with offal, and feed RMB for the second meal. This keeps 2 beagles with a nice trim waist, lovely glowing coat, and nice teeth. Well, mostly nice teeth, one beagle isn't so good at naming on bones. Love VAN. I buy it online at vetnpetdirect.com.au
  14. It's since we moved out to acreage. It's changed them! It's all happened naturally. I'm proud, but we made some life changes that have paid off.....not to mention a wonderful behaviorist.
  15. Not sure about the thread? Your little pap sounds wonderful :)
  16. You paint a great picture there Huski :)
  17. When my beagles trot at my heels as I work around our 1.5acres. They are happy to be with me. When I open my gate every day and they don't (maybe 2 times in 1.5 yrs) go near it, they have no interest in leaving the property. When all I have to say is "in your crate!" and both of them run to their respective crates and settle in. It was tough going at the start, but now it's just wonderful. No, they aren't perfect, but they still make me proud!
  18. We only use white sheets! Too many white beagle hairs!
