  1. What a gorgeous boy. I am so sorry for your loss. ;) ;)
  2. I have been asked if I can recommend a good puppy preschool in the Gold Coast region and I don't know of any. Does anybody here have any recommendations please? They must be bull breed friendly. Cheers.
  3. Poor baby just look at his skin. Well done for getting this guy the help he needs. Hopefully he finds a wonderful forever home.
  4. You've just contradicted yourself there, either he's healthy and happy or he's not. A consult is a consult and it will cost the same now as it would in two weeks time. It's just the dog that has the potential to suffer in the mean time with an obvious complaint. Cut the self diagnosis and the attempted cost cutting and take the bloody dog to the vet. If you can't afford a vet consult and treatment when you rescue a dog from a pound, then don't pull it in the first place. This is no different to the other bigger rescue groups getting on the Forum and asking similar questions. The OP has stated that she IS getting the dog to the vet but wanted help to ease dogs irritation before he goes. Give her a break, she rescues many dogs that wouldn't have a chance. And Bomabec, no other rescues wouldn't be told the same thing because DOl rescue has one rule for some and another rule for others.

    Jimmy

Thanks all for the beautiful comments about my gorgeous boy. I could never have imagined that losing him would be this painful. Jimmy has been unwell for a long time and I hope that he is now at peace and running free at the bridge. My Jimmy was one in a million and I was so lucky to have him in my life. Thank you so much to Tybrax and Choppachop for your support and kind words when I needed them.

:D Take care my darling boy. Words cannot describe how much I miss you. ;) I am so proud to say you were mine. The ache I feel in my heart right now is horriffic. Run free at the bridge without a care in the world.

  14. Great vid. I haven't ever really watched agility before and although this was a blooper vid I found it very interesting.
  15. I feel so terribly sad reading this thread. RIP all the doggies that will be sent to the bridge over this very hectic period
  16. I will usually feed dogs the same, but this boy is a very special case as he has suffered some terrible treatment. He isn't really a fussy dog as such, more a terribly scared dog. He is also very skinny so I did not feel that the approach of "if you don't eat then too bad" was such a clever idea. I too had never met a bully that didn't like their food until Brutus came along. Fear overode the feeling of hunger that's for sure. Update on Brutus is that with the help I recieved in this thread, he is well underway to starting to feed better. Still slow but has gained small amount of weight. He has a new home now with very kind people who have the time to invest in him. thanks again guys for all your help.
  17. Thanks so much for your help guys. He had been vet checked and nothing abnormal in mouth was detected. He obviously associates meal times with something very negative and he is very nervous although seems to feel comforted if I am standing near. I have managed to get him to eat a few chicken necks tonight which is good. Thanks for the ideas, I am going to note them all down and with some trial and error I hope he will be feeding well like he should be.
  18. Hi guys, I have got a bull terrier male I am fostering at the moment. I am having a lot of trouble getting him to eat food. He is a bit lean already so I was hoping to feed him up before he goes to a new home. The problem is he just will not eat. He has obviously been abused and is so very cautious with everything that he does and I can see that he is hungry but won't attempt to eat. The amount of food he has consumed is just not enough. I would love to hear what other people have tried feeding fussy eaters. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
