I know. Kelli has always had C5 and has had kennel cough really bad. So even with the vaccination she got it. And she wasn't a pup either.
-
Hi Michele, Thanks. I was just making sure that the C3 would still be safe. I don't wont to put Kelli at risk of getting anything. Thanks Everyone

I just saw it mentioned in this thread. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=151105 So I was just wondering what it is etc. OMG this all gets too hard some days!!
-
I read on here about self vaccinating. Has anyone done it before and where would you get it from? I understand you don't get a vaccination certificate from your vet but I was thinking for my grandmothers dog as don't go to dog obedience. Thanks
-
I would like to know where you vet is too. I even had a vet come to our home that was suppose to be cheaper. The dogs hated him and he was only $5.00 cheaper. I did the ring around today the university near us is $83.00

I feel a little lost with it all sometimes.

I am thinking of just getting a C3 then. She never goes into kennels and even though she has always had C5 when we brought Mum's new dog home from the pound she got Kennel Cough off her. Thanks everyone for you imput. It just gets all so confusing!!
-
The club only states that the dog must be vaccinated yearly, not what vacc they must have. As she doesn't go into a kennel I was thinking of only getting the C4. I am still going to have her vacc'ed but was just wondering if C3 or C4 would be enough for her
-
Hi Everyone, I know this topic has been done over a millions times before but I have a question re vaccinations. My dogs is due for her annual vaccinations. She has always been given the C5 vaccinations every year. I was wondering what the differance is between that and the C3 & C4. She is now 5 years old and never goes into kennels. She must be vaccinated each year for dog obedience (club rules) and I was wondering what would be the best vacc to give her now she is a little older. Also I pay $65.00 for the C5 vacc. Is that about right or am I being ripped off??

Have a silly question for you herding people out there.......... I attended a herding rule review night earlier this year. I was told on this night that there would not longer be a Herding Instinct Title. Replacing the title would be a Certificate, a Herding Instinct Certificate. I was also told that you would not be required to submit any paper work to Dog Victoria and your dog would no longer get letters at the end of it's name like it had for the Title. I have been surfing the web and have noticed a number of dogs that I know do herding with HIC next to their names. Is this correct or just something people are putting at the end of their dogs names for the "look" of it. I was just wondering as one of my dogs has her Certificate but I have not received anything for Dogs Victoria showning a change in her registered name. Thanks for your help

It does get hot down there. I have told my dog that farm dogs have to work in hotter weather and work longer and hard than her so to get over the heat. LOL I am a mean mother. We have only just started in Novice!! Good luck to everyone!!!! They are even having breakfast this year at Werribee. Bacon and Eggs on the BBQ. (My Dad got roped into cooking cos he hasn't entered any of his dogs LOL)
-
That's a bummer. Hopefully it will be a good day.
-
So who has entered??? I have entered Kelli in Novice in the AM & PM trial!!! Good luck to anyone that has entered!!!
-
I know I know Yep it is all in that area. I will let you know when it is all back on again.
-
It is near Bendigo. But as Kamarooka, I have no idea. I am from Werribee so I only know the towns on my way there.

We train in Elmore Victoria. But this Saturday is our last training for a while. The sheep are in lamb.
-
Hi Everyone, Just letting you know there is Herding this weekend. This will be our last herding session for a while. Our sheep are being sold our the Elmore Field Days and we will have to wait for more to come along. Will keep you updated though...
-
I started herding though the Koolie Club. We just took our dogs in on lead and waited to see what they did. The instructors are great for helping out beginner dogs. The sheep the Koolie Club use are not use to being herded so are a great challenge for the dogs and great with dogs that are a little full on when herding.

It runs from 9am - 12 noon. But most of the time we run over.
