  1. A bit like my Highest Scoring Sporting Reg. This is the first year I have donated it and I am the only sport reg entered!!!! LOL Bet my little man will be happy with the doggies side of the prize though!!!
  2. Great to hear!!! Get your entries in everyone!
  3. I personally wouldn't recommend Altona. I am not going to bad mouth a club on a puplic forum so please feel free to PM me. They are also not a member of the VCA so not great if you want to trial in the future.
  4. As someone that has trained with a "private" dog training business and now at Werribee Obedience Dog Club I give Werribee a HUGE The amount of knowledge there is amazing and there is always someone that is able to help you no matter what your problem is. And not only that it is HEAPS cheaper to train there. That makes a huge differance when you are training 3 dogs.
  5. Thanks Kallistar. We only missed 1 sit on the figure of eight and lagged a bit!!! Other than that she did it!!!! Thanks I will let him know!!! He is walking around saying that his dog now has as many titles as mine!!! LOL Need to get that one pass to stay in front!!!
  6. Can I add my brag too!!??!??? We trialled at Ballaarat in obedience yesterday. Kelli was entered in novice both AM & PM. We had a shocking time in the morning but in the afternoon we got a 177 pass and third in the ring!!!!! Only one more pass to go now. Not bad for a dog that was never going to trial!!!!! Also Dad got his final pass in CCD with a score of 85. Although not great scores a pass is still a pass!!!
  7. Great to hear there are so many sashes coming in Melody!!!! Just also wanted to add that for Highest Scoring Associate and Highest Scoring Sporting Reg there will also be a prize for your dog!!!!! Come on everyone get your entries in!!!!!
  8. Please don't be put off trialling by this horrible person, LucyCharzie People sometimes forget that we all started out as a begginer at some stage. I have only been in the trialling ring for 2 years now and I have meet some horrible people in that time. But for every horrible person there are 20 more great people offering you advise and support. I am still a nervous wreck everytime I enter the ring but I just remind myself to smile, what is the very worse that can happen?? We can only fail, the world wont end because of it!!! Just keep up the training and it will all come together for you. People that scare their dogs into working for them are not trainers at all. You and your dog should work at as a team and I always find kindness is a better way to get that result. Hope to see your entry for Werribee!!!
  9. Great to hear Bronte is on the mend Shel. That is great that you are teaching her that now, wish I had started that sort of thing with my girl earlier.
  10. I have my entries in and made my donation of 2 entry fees. LOL All depends on Miss Moodies mood on the day!!! Can't wait to see everyone there. Having a BBQ too!!! And the cook is not a bad cook either!!! (It's my Dad LOL)
  11. Condolences to her friends and family. Like Melody I only saw her at training on Saturday. What a shock!!! RIP Lee
  12. Not to mention great food for the humans and great sample food from the sponsor for the dogs!!! Come on you know you want too.
  13. I thought I would ad that there will be an award for Highest Scoring Associate (sash and prize) and Highest Scoring Sporting Register (prize) for both the AM & PM trial. I also know there are quite a few special sashes for Pure Breed dogs as well. Come on people, you know you want to enter!!!!
  14. I agree but I have now trained my dog so that just a big smile is all she needs to know she has done a good job. Works well. I WISH they would get rid of the figure of eight!!!! Stoopid exercise and I would have another title now if it wasn't for that exercise!!!
  15. I also recommend Wyndham Vet Clinic!!! Extremely helpful!!! They are always great with my three and also full of great, useful advice!!!
  16. As the topic heading states has anyone entered the BCCV Herding Trial for tomorrow or Sunday. We will be down there tomorrow, so if anyone is entered don't forget to say HI!! I will be the one with the three ferals barking up a storm!! :D
  17. I am not going to bag a club but as I was a member of Altona all I would say is that if you don't want to bore you dog or trial in the future don't go to Altona. If you would like more information just PM me. I am now a member at Werribee and they have been nothing but great help. Both with my trialling girl and my DA girl. I give them the .
  18. Ok So they have had over 100 entries over the 2 days!!! Has anyone in DOL land entered??? We will be there both days, Saturday helping and Sunday trialling!!!
  19. They changed the rules at the start of last year. Your dog is meant to have been with stock before they do the test. But please come and have a look. Their will be people there that can give you some more information and you can also see what you need to do. The test is not hard but best to know what you are up to first i think.
  20. What about Werribee Obedience Dog Club. They have a puppy class and further dog training as well as agility when the puppy is older.
  21. I know that southern no longer does training for herding. But if you contact the herding sec. for the Australian Shepherd Club, I think her name is Kate, I know she does it. Best of luck!! :D
  22. They are trialing levels. You start by doing an instinct test (this is a certificate not a title). You don't have to do this level but most people do. Then you move on to herding test. Once you gain two passes you get your HT title then onto pre trial where to need two passes to get your PT title. You need each of your passes by a differant judge to gain your title and most people can get the title in one day (that is why there is two judges for all three levels) Hope that all makes some sense.
