  1. it's been my experience with my cattledog that she treats it like a den she loves being in there, its safe, where she's fed and where treats rain from the ceiling
  2. our local stockist is happy to split the big bags into smaller bags - don't be afraid to ask if you are concerned this also allows them to produce 2kg 'trial bags' that otherwise wouldn't occur unless a bag ruptured regards phil ps bobbi is definitely better on barko, she is energetic happy and her coat much improved
  3. what jessca said for us too in regards to the oilyness of the food - it seemed to dissolve a little when i transferred it to an airtight container only had a couple of nasty poos in transition hope that you find a product that works for your dog regards phil
  4. am currently in transition from coles brand to great barko - cattledog seems very happy with GB and there is better other results most notably: smaller stools, less death-gas but she seems to drink more, no big drama as to the $ i paid i think $9 for a trial 4kg of GB - it retails at $28 for 22 kg *or something similar to this* here in ballarat regards phil
  5. bobbi gets this too KL i thought it was because she continually sticks her head in strange things (piles of leaves, hay etc) or because she sleeps on a blanket with a fringy bit i used the salty water, about a teaspoon into a small bowl and gently wiped it away regards phil
  6. what size sox are those KM? i know that when bobbi gets her lump removed we are gonna be in the same boat
  7. we recently trained our acd bobbi 6 to the crate as per advice from members here, w fed her and made it the most awesome place ever she has since adopted it as her den
  8. Quote TSD: Secondly, having a consequence if he doesn't recall. He's a smart lad and, for us, using a non-reward marker ("Oh well") works nicely. I walk immediately over to him, say "oh well", snap the lead on and walk off (no sniffing etc allowed). The command basically means "you've lost your chance to have your reward - bad luck, mate!" It only takes a few minutes of boring on lead time before he starts offering me behaviours......then I let him off and he always recalls like a bullet after that. Q: how do you start this, i mean how do i adjust my dog to this different type of command.. i put her onto the lead and then we????
