  1. R.I.P. Hugo - run free at the bridge - there are other Poodles there to play with
  2. Harrison is also a real mummy's boy - he will go over to Mr.Poodlemum-ManBitch & give him a cuddle sometimes, but mostly it's MUM he wants.
  3. I always thought it was a Poodle thing - all the Poodles I have had in 30-odd years have done the "froggy"
  4. And then they give it to the tooth fairy, I suppose - do you REALLY believe that?
  5. Mrs Rustybucket - great post! You DO have to be careful though - I got WARNED (believe it or not) for suggesting to someone that they might make use of the spellcheck before they posted - some people are sooooo sensitive
  6. So maybe it is just a change of Govn that we all really need in Victoria?? Well, according to Ted Bailleau in yesterdays Age, the Libs will give the RSPCA draconian powers to seize dogs etc. - does anyone really want THAT?
  7. What a dreadful thing to happen! Please don't blame yourself for recommending the raw diet - as Andisa said, a puppy could just as easily die from bloating caused by eating kibble, or not thrive, due to being fed on the cr*p food that some vets try to push on people.
  8. I would advise you to get this moved to "General" - more people will see it there. I appreciate this scam being brought to light!
  9. Exactly - I think Dogs Victoria could do a lot more promotion of purebred dogs, considering the fees they get from us!
  10. My indelible memory is of the VERY dead possum consumed and then chucked up on my rug - the possum may have been dead, but the maggots weren't The rug got thrown out
  11. I believe this whole thread is a contravention of the forum rules! Why are we talking about a DD - isn't this a PUREBRED dog forum?
  12. I did the survey - will be interested to see the results
  13. If they are NOT on the list, it might be an idea to PM Troy with the details, so they can be added (I've done that in the past with some I've received)
  14. Are you a member of Dogzonline? If so, have you checked the members home page to see whether this person's name appears in the list of people suspected of fraudulent activity?
  15. I've never seen a poodle with a herding title, at least not in this country as they are not an eligable breed. I can assure you, that one of mine DOES have a herding title in Tasmania. ETA not in conformation shows (which are just beauty contest, as far as I am concerned) but in herding trials
  16. And what if they want a lab temperament and not the lab coat so get a labradoodle but they get the poodle temperament and the lab coat? Just a thought ... You mean a smartarse dog that sheds like nothing on earth? Seriously, though, people have a strange idea of what the Poodle temperament is. Poodles were, after all, originally bred for water retrieving and can still be all-purpose utility dogs. Amongst dogs I have bred are those with Tracking titles, Herding titles & general Obedience titles. Poodles are also VERY people-orientated.
  17. I have received many scam emails re puppies over the years & this one certainly has all the hallmarks of a scam!
  18. You wonder if maybe Dad want's really the Chocolate Lab next door
  19. I'm hoping to be there tomorrow & possibly Sunday (as cheer crew ) - it's only a 10 minute drive for me
  20. I never said I wanted a Poodle or a perfect dog. I meant that you dismissed Poodle out of hand - obviously have no idea what they are like. So far your criteria are: Doesn't need (much if any) exercise Doesn't shed Not small Is not for the children So a Robo-Dog seems perfect. I'm not saying I would recommend a Poodle - probably too much work for you I never said anything about shedding - get your fact straight before answering or don't bother, assumptions such as yours are useless. If poodle breeders are like that yes I would rather dealing with a robo-dog NO need to be gratuitously insulting
