Hi all My poor dog, a rescue lab x poodle (Labradoodle) is suffering terribly at the moment. He suffering from both ears being infected. Hes shaking his head from side to side, and it smells terrible, with dark brown pus. I have made several trips to the vet and done everything I can think of and Im just so sick of seeing my boy in pain. He has had 4 doses of antibiotics (General), (2 oral, 2 in the ears), 4 doses of predisilone, and a special ear cleaner which i have been doing daily. I have also taken him to the groomers to have the hairs pulled out to try and reduce the amount of hair in there. Ive been away for a few days, and my mum was watching the dogs, and I have come home, checked him and one ear is red inside, and I think its bleeding from him scratching it (At least I hope thats why!) Im not a fan of a lot of medicine and I was wondering if you have any natural remedies or any on the shelf medications I can use, to compliment the antibitoics? I cant get into my vet until tomorrow, so today, I am just going to thoroughly clean them and keep him calm and warm. Doing some googling someone mentioned "ear clear" "swimmers drops" and "thornit Ear Powder" I dont want to do anything that would harm him further, so does anyone have any experience with any of these? Thankyou so much for any advice you can give me - I just want him to be pain free and it SUCKS

Heya Ive been away with my partner for a couple of weeks and the person who I got to look after my two dogs has basically left them alone. They are matted and need a good shear (Yoshi is a lab x poodle, medium size, Willow is a standard poodle). Does anyone know someone in Perth who can give them both a sheep shear this weekend?? ;) Im really looking at their coats not wanting to upset them!! ;) TJ

A girl I work with (20, lives at home with her parents) are looking to buy a puppy. She posted on facebook on the weekend that she was going to pet shops and looking in the paper. I sent her a message and told her to wait until Monday when I could speak to her I have convinced her not to take these avenues when getting dog! YAY!! So her family have narrowed down to a border collie or a kelpie. They want to buy in WA at this stage and are looking for breeders. I cant seem to find any WA Kelpie breeders Would anyone have any suggestions for me??? Im quite unfamiliar with these breeds. They are also quite open to rescuing a puppy if it suits their family. They are adament that it needs to be a puppy Thanks in advance! (if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it )

Yoshi is the worst for nicking stuff - he loves my undies and he snitched Madi's blanket and decided to keep it... He also tries to take Sebs soft toys whenever he can - poor fatcat is missing half his outfit now!! LOL The neighbour accidently threw this massive frisbee over our fence and he ate that...

Heya Tonight on Foxtel there is a special episode where he goes to a puppy mill and exposes what goes on. I have it on to record - it should be heartbreaking but interesting.

Sorry to hear about this I had to write to my neighbours (Kept a copy myself) that have cats because when I got Willow, I knew of his history with cats and I didnt want to be responsible if he killed one - he and cats simply do not get along. Hope your hand is ok!

I was JUST last weekend complaining to my DH that the length of the beach was too short for the amount of people that use the Hillarys dog beach - you look all the way up the beach where you are not allowed to have your dogs and there is not a soul in sight, whereas you can barely move on the dog beach

They had a discussion about this on Nova this morning I couldnt get through, the lines were always busy - everyone whinging about how they had been attacked but no real reason as to why dogs should or shouldnt have muzzles. IMO its up to the owner to train their dog and understand the behaviour behind the attack and watch for the signs - sad tale
