  1. Josh, I personally would wait a bit. just my opinion
  2. Hi, Last week took out pet insurance for Nelson 2.5 yr BC and Kailee, new Rough Collie pup. Alls good until I received paperwork today in mail. On the policy for Nelson he has total exclusion on eye disorders because 6 months ago he had mild conjunctivitis probably caused by a foreign body (grass seed or the like) I got the vet to fax and speak to them with no luck. I then get an email to inform me the exclusion includes; facial adscess(es), eye disorders and mouth/oral disorders. Does this include teeth problems or extraction etc?? Whats that got to do with conjunctivis????? If there was a history of issues then fine but this was 6 months ago and it is the only thing he has been to vet for except normal yearly stuff. I am so frustrated by it all. They were quite happy to debit my bank account the very next day I lodged the policy over the net. Without a phone call to discuss the exclusion. Any advice would be good. I have a 14 day cooling off period, I wonder if every company would be the same. Jen

  4. Persephone, do you mean on my part a double post? I have asked this before. The reason I ask again is I am a little more suspicious of the ingredients due to more research and really wanted peoples thoughts, didn't really get that in earlier reponses. ta

  8. To my knowledge human is fine. I got mine at woolies. Others may be able to confirm.
  9. Josh, I give my other two dogs the human capsules. You do need to give vit e as well. My guys eat them out of my hand even though they are odourless to us I think they can smell something because even my old collie who is really fussy loves them. As far as dosage, thats why I posted. I am going to start my girl on sardines in oil first then when older ease her over to capsules. (I still give sardines once or twice per week.) Just ease slowing onto the sardines in oil. Too much too soon could upset tummy. Jen
  10. Hi, What age would you start a pup on fish oil capsules? My girl is 9 weeks. Weighs 6kgs. (Rough Collie) The capsules are 1000 mg. Is that dose to large? ta
  11. Thanks Guys, I will call Delvet later an speak to them. Rappie, Instructions say to wash dog first, then sponge over solution. Should I wash dog in trailer? Whislt I have Hydroflush to wash out tub afterwards. what are the risks of contamination (if any) ta

  13. Hi, Anyone had anything to do with Demadex? I am trying to find instructions and MSDS on the product. I have a job on Saturday, I was told mites but as I suspected they left off the part of "Mange Mite" I know it is made by Delvet Pty Ltd, but cannot find anything that tells me how to use it etc. I wanted to be a bit more prepared before I got there, that's all. ta
  14. Hi, There is a place at Luddenam (bet I have spelt that wrong!), just up from before Richmond that has a pool for dogs. 17. We just avoid any mectin based products for our Aussies, BC's and Rough's. Including the heartworm injection which has Moximectin. I know the dose is low and the chances are slim but alternatives are there like Interceptor etc so I choose to avoid them altogether. cheers
  18. I wonder what the grounds are for prosecution if he actually got ahold of you. All be it would not help if you were injured. Would be good to know where you stand as far as prosecution goes so we can tell these owners up front the liabilities they face let alone the moral issues of owning a dog like that. (Then the poor dog would probably not be brought in for grooming!!!) Hope tomorrow is a better day.
  19. Bit like Louie - Huh!! Gonna get myself a Pug one day!!!
  20. Sorry , it is the new owners solicitor. They are getting something from the vet also, I am just adding my bit from a grooming perspective. I just thought this may have been asked before as I want to really get the message across well.
  21. Hi, I need to write a letter for a client outlining the condition of a dog they were given. The previous owner is taking them to court. Long long story and so much has happened I cannot get into it but there is no way this dog can go back. It was in atrocious condition ( Bichon x Pooldle) very scared and on the thin side. It's new owners love this dog to bits and the dog truly hit the jackpot when they got her. They look after her well, take her everywhere with them and as they are an older couple she really is keeping them active. She is walked a few times a day. I need to write about her condition back then and her current condition. (I have photos) I just need help in how to word it. I am sure you guys know what to say and how to get the best impact. ta
  22. I know this should be asked elsewhere but not sure where so please don't give me grief. Where / how do I add photo's of my doggies at each post like some of you guys have?? Thanks, I am blonde I know!!
