Can't answer the first question...I start my babies at 10-12 weeks of age and have never had a problem, my Nana did the same for the 40 odd years she was in the game

I spoke with LMWS very late last night and she was obviously still in a great deal of shock and very heartbroken....she did all she could, it wasn't in her hands and my heart goes out to her, it's every breeders worst nightmare.

Oink, once you've treated the ground with lime or other, get some Fido's Fre-Itch concentrate and dip the dogs and allow to sun dry...this is very effective and they can be dipped once every 3-4 days for a week or two until you get everything back under control

Kelpiesrule, if you can get hold of it (from the vet) get some Protexin for your baby...

Fence them off...

Nope you didn't ask for my advice but I gave it (privately), you didn't like it, simply ignore it don't carry on like a tool ;)

Glad they are here now safe and sound, rest up and congrats

Thanks Benshiva, Ris has already quoted my PM (and breached forum rules) and it is as it was posted...nothing rude about it, just straight to the point advice Oh well!
-
I didn't comment on the photos in this thread, it was the photos in the BC thread, I don't recall reading your bolded text above there and if I had I'd not have bothered offering advice.

Your message on the 2nd Dec [DELETED breach of forum rules] I don't need your advice, in 5 years I've had 6 litters from three different bitches, I think I have a 'basic' idea on when to start weaning I guess you'll just need to think about how you word things or mind your own business, and I guess everyone has to be careful on which photos the select to post on a forum as their puppies might look to skinny or hungry. Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise you knew everything and couldn't take advice as it was meant :p I don't need to think about how I word things, it wasn't rude it was a polite suggestion! Probably a good idea though to think about what photos you select to post if you don't want concerned/caring people sending you PRIVATE polite messages of advice. ETA: Check the forum rules...

I didn't read the above where ever it was written and my comment wasn't on "messy pups"...I'm really confused why you'd go and make a private attempt of helpful advice public and carry on over absolutely nothing. It was a private offer of advice, now you've drawn attention to that fact that you don't like helpful advice oh well.

Bad Alice and the "K" litter - beautiful!
-
I didn't comment on how your puppies looked, read my PM again! I suggested if you hadn't started to wean then you should Next time I'll remember you don't take advice well!
-
it would be so kind of her if she started during the day and finished just in time for tea, best wishes for an easy whelping and healthy babies congrats onthe new babies!

If you're referring to my PM which was a polite attempt at being helpful then pull your head in! If someone else was offended then perhaps my PM was on the mark. Take the advice as it was offered, in good faith... ETA: by the way, if you are infact referring to the PM sent by me then you'll notice (and edit your post) the word offended was never mentioned! It was polite PM offering advice...

good luck!
