  1. Golden Grove boarding kennel and cattery their website I have used them and I know of other DOlers who have too - I have a Bloodhound and a kelpie and they have been great with them
  2. *Lol* I can relate to that Cassie - but I look forward to meeting the gorgeous moose one day
  3. really? i'm just about to join; might try and find out more and go for a look see The trial was today. Another dismal performance by Pele Aww - so no roast chicken for her then
  4. Mad woofter and I will be there with our furries if anyone would like to join us we would love to see you there
  5. Will be sleeping in tomorrow but will be at semaphore next sat - the 8th at 830
  6. ONe of the kids in my class has been telling me about their Border Collie 'from a farm' that they have just got to breed with their other Border Collie 'from a farm' - they are going to give the pups away. I bite my tongue because it's not the kids fault that their parents are irresposible but all my kids know my views on BYB and that I believe their pets should be desexed.
  7. I bought the sheep tuffy toy and the kelpie chewed on one foot relentlessly till she made a big enough hole to methodically pull the stuffing out
  8. Mark is fantastic - I had him in to work with us and Earl. Good luck with it all and hope to catch up soon
  9. I am another owner who has pet insurance - I originally got it because my kelpie is pretty full on and I thought if anyone will do something unfortunate she will - but it has been the bloodhound that has needed it - emergency surgery for a riverstone ingestion is not cheap - especially on the Sunday of a long weekend
  10. I have a kelpie who methodically dismembers stuffed toys and a bloodhound who has a bad habit of swallowing things he shouldn't - like bits of stuffed toy - so I am always on the lookout for things too tough for her to trash and too big for him to swallow - makes life interesting
  11. Bugger it - I am on holidays as of this Friday at 2.00 and I think I will take one of my feral hairies for a nice walk along the beach to celebrate being free for a month. If anyone would like to join me I will see you at the jetty at Semaphore at 8.30 am on Saturday - look for either a feral kelpie or a big doofus bloodhound. Cheers Katie
  12. Thanks... but I quite adored your Bloodhound and think the name Earl just suits him to a tee!! I love Kelpies too - they are intelligent in a vastly different way to the hounds. Sonia Too clever for their own good sometimes I must admit I find Rosie an easier type of dog than Earl - she is so up front with everything whereas he is harder to read - although that might also be because no matter what he always looks depressed ;) We thought a Bloodhound needed a bluesy type of name - his full name is "Centitout My Name is Earl" - and you're right - it really does suit him
  13. I am pretty sure Rosie thinks Earl belongs to her - she has him totally bitch - slapped Your dogs are so elegant - made mine look like peasants Oh - and Teebs - must have been something in the air today - even the Bloodhound hovered
  14. Bahahahahaa!! She's getting a bit of "windflap" in her jowls!!! Been hanging out with the Bloodhound too much
  15. Drat - I will be away for that one But count us in for the one after that
  16. ....and he sounds exactly the way you would imagine They are great photos jacqui- thank you for posting them I would be up for going along as often as you want - we are away for a couple of weeks at the end of October but apart from that - the woofers don't sleep late and Rosie totally loved it - so count me in (and I will remember my purse next time )
  17. Brilliant photos - thank you for the link - we were so lucky with the lure set up - saved huge ammounts of time Earl looks hysterical - all drool and loose skin - he has been asleep just about from the minute we got home - but Rosie was up for another run within about 10 minutes of getting out of the car - unstoppable kelpies  Absolutely loved it - would love to go again - and the people were just lovely. Hope your hand is better Jacqui
  18. Found it finally - it IS on the left hand side of Pt Wakefield Road as you leave Adelaide - and I was on the right hand side went and asked at the servo - and what a great morning - dogs had a ball - as did the owners Big thanks Jacqui for organising it
  19. Looks like huge ammounts of fun - the feral kelpie is going to love this :D
  20. Aw - would have loved to have met Moose - will have to organise another beach walk soon
  21. Hang in there Mindy - sending all our thoughts and love your way
  22. I will bring him along but don't think the lure coursing would be his thing - although he would look pretty funny doing it
  23. KHM this was posted on the other page Sunday, 8:30am to the State Shooting Park, on Park Rd in Virginia, SA. Not sure if I'll make it. That's a long way to drive I'm used to doing long trips for dog things though. I'll have a think and let you know Thanks ETH. Luckily not too far from us
