  1. This morning, Seven and each puppy are having our bowen therapist come to work on them. Make sure everything is exactly how it should be and they are feeling great. They will have at least one more bowen session before they go to their forever homes. Another startle/recover response with socialization to the vacuum cleaner included This one is the second time they had a meat slurry We started powering up the clicker with them all yesterday, loads of fun. I'll do another clicker charging session once puppy people leave later today
  2. Is that beautiful girl your daughter? No, I don't have any children. That is Ebony. she is gorgeous isn't she and also an incredible girl. she is one of my puppy people. Not long in the dog world, but trains her current whippet daily and is now instructing at her club. We've become quite close friends over the past almost 12 months, she's even been away showing with me. I have enjoyed including her in much of the whole breeding/puppy process and she appreciates it very much. That's FANTASTIC!! There need to be more awesome dog people like you in the world! Anyone who encourages others who show interest in the dog world is amazing in my book!! Thanks mate. I have also encourage Eb to register her dog with ANKC, become a DV member herself, and now she has already gained a rally title in this short time, winning all 3 classes I think. She is now training in agility, flyball and obedience. she's been along to one of my herding trials as well. She is a real sponge for information and picks things up quickly. She is currently training her dog for it's ET this year, after learning about it through following me doing mine with Seven last year. I am really looking forward to seeing how she goes with our puppy :) I am very proud of Eb, she is awesome :)

  4. ah well, back to bed for me until the next feed in a few hours :)
  5. Thank you RiverStar-Aura. Seven and I are both super proud of our brood and I am especially proud of Seven. She is an incredible teacher to her puppies. It is incredible to watch. She makes all the right calls...doesn't enable them with too much help, but doesn't leave them too lost either. I try my hardest to let things work themselves out knowing full well that the puppies are so much better for it.
  6. I'd be backing green too Kirislin, she has so much spunk and attitude, speed and tenacity, she'd be bound to win every race Yes, all that squealing of the babies in their feeding frenzy is about as much as any dog can bare.
  7. Poor rug rats were a little lost in the grass SC :) They still enjoyed it though and we did their nails whilst out there enjoying the sunshine :)
  8. Puppies having a fun time, starting to interact with each other and objects more
  9. Startle/Recovery Response - adding sound startling from 3 weeks of age and continuing on right throughout raising
  10. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) - conducted with each puppy everyday from 3 - 16 days old
  11. piccies Please ignore the long grass. It has just been cut :D
  12. now that's something I have never heard of before ! How common is it , for extra care to be taken? I have cared for many bitches/litters , and have not ever seen a case .Is it something exclusively rottie? Brachy breeds (which of course the Rottweiler is not) can drown if they do not feed vertically Yeh very common unfortunately
  13. Seven already has a cue "titties" to roll into this position, so we just use this :)
  14. This is the way we are feeding now. From around 2 and a half weeks if the bitch has loads of milk that flows quickly and/or the puppies feed from the underneath teats they can get aspiration pneumonia from vomiting. It is far better and safer for the puppies both in slowing down the flow and also preventing AP by ensuring they feed upright. Can be challenging when the hungry puppies and coming at you in a frenzy LOL My apologies for the poor photo quality. I have some better ones in my camera I will download later
  15. DDD, absolutely delighted with our tails :) I knew they would all have tails because the parents are genetically tested for the NBT gene. It is highly frowned on in our breed and I would never own or breed from an NBT or one carrying the gene. In our breed it is considered a deformity and a form a spina bifida and our state breed clubs are working hard to ensure that soon all NBTs are placed on limited register with ANKC, so eventually eradicated. The only breeders breeding for them are breeding for the pet market and concerned about their bottom line. Recently we had a specialty where an NBT was critiqued but not placed. The judges are within their rights to do this. Most however will just downgrade them. It is highly unusual to see a NBT that is even remotely close to the Breed Standard. they are usually extremely poor examples of the breed. I am thrilled that my puppies have excellent tails (so far). The set and carriage will change as the puppies develop and it is something that I have to keep an eye on. However, their tails are all lovely and thick and exactly what I would want to be seeing at this stage.
  16. It's funny you should say that SC, Green has started "running" but it is freaking hilarious. It goes for like 2 seconds and in that short time her legs move so fast you can't see them and she travels a really long distance. I swear she has terrier in her. I am nearly always in fits of hysteria watching them.
  17. Well, I won't say that it won't be hard for me AL, but I have incredible homes lined up whom have been vehemently screened and with me (some of them for almost a year) for ages. We have our own Starkehre litter fb group where we all chat daily, they come and visit and will be involved in the training we are doing with the puppies. And because we are paying for and enrolling all our puppy people into an additional 8 weeks of training with several different professional trainers they are very appreciative and really looking forward to working with their puppies. The puppies are booked in for two separate sessions with Alphabet, one without the owners and one with. We've been there before and she runs incredible classes and invaluable opportunities for dogs and owners alike to learn how to communicate and socialise confidently and correctly with other dogs. Thank you, yes Seven is really chilled about her babies. She is diligent with care and attention, but not OTT. They are now testing out their vocals on her and she shows them how to respond. It is amazing to watch. I am so proud of Seven. She is an incredible bitch, that's for sure.
  18. I certainly will TDX. It is already so much work but with the added Puppy Culture training protocols with 9 individual puppies, it will be extremely difficult. Luckily I have a good network of doggie friends willing to come and assist with training. I am really looking forward to it. The Communication Trinity starts next week and I can't wait.
