  9. It was one of H Healey's, couldn't tell you which one it was, there were 3 entered a baby dog, Inter bitch and a Aust bred bitch...hope this helps.
  10. No Bostons, British, 2 Dallies, 1 frenchie, no GSpitz, 1 Dane, 1 JSpitz, 1Kees, (didn't watch the poodles but I know the Toys were there, 1 Schips, 2 Shih Tzus and no TT's...funnily enough the show was held on the asphalt, like sway said and the weather was kind, sunny for the most part....well-done to the committee, they held it together considering the circumstances. At least there was no mud nor rain whilst I was there..LOL
  11. You could go to any trailer place and get them to move your tackbox forward and have a slot between your trailer and tack box for trolleys but like S's & D's get a engineer to check it out first as most single axle trailers can only withhold 750 kilos and most normal 4 berth trailers weigh 500...so it dosent leave much capacity left for our show gear and dogs.
  12. Names are a funny thing...I like most of the names others have posted, personally I like my dogs names incorporated with the registered name. One of our pups when born reminded me something out of the Flintstones and he grew that way looking like something prehistoric (much larger than the rest (over 1kilo when born) ...so OH named him BamBam.. I just couldn't get used to it....his show name is Darkat Achtung Baby...so I now call him Babe...I also have a Pink, Madonna, Angie, Teddy and Heidi..one other pup sold was named Brad (cos he was the Brad Pitt of Danes) but his new owner changed it to Jackson, which I also love and it suits him.
  13. Well-done on your win...great start to the year.
  14. Thanks CC for those sites...will keep an eye on them.
  15. We are entered but will have to see what the weather brings...this heat is just so hard on the giant breeds.. They don't cope as well as some other breeds do. Hopeful to go.
  16. Huge congrats TeamSnag on your win...and what a way to start off the year!! I'm not all that knowledgeable with the Dach's but he does look a very handsome fella. The win is well deserved, sounds like you have worked hard for it, good onya and keep up the good work... Hope there are many more wins for you this year..
  17. Can just see it....rangers strutting around with measuring tapes in their pockets.... ;) ...maybe some law makers need to wear muzzles!...
  18. So pleased to hear you have some answers Danios....nothing worse when our fur kids are not well and we are not sure what we are dealing with. I do think with the power of the internet and these forums, many breeders and owners of dogs are coming out of the closet, so to speak and talking about the different problems they are encountering with their dogs....its very positive that some are and they are helping others with problems. My young pup seems to be showing signs of improving as well....his lumps have subsided and his skin doesn't look angry now...but I'm still keeping a close eye on him. I change his bedding daily and have changed his shampoo as well.
  19. Ha ha...these are my goals & aspirations as well...especially not to get lost trying to get to a show this year, would be nice but I doubt it will happen... :) Santa didn't get me a SatNav....
  20. Thank you Leanne, the club and its committee is to be commended for its quick response with ensuring the safety and well being of dogs, exhibitors, judges and stewards. We can only hope that during these hotter months other clubs follow suit when the temperatures are so extreme. Good luck to all who are entered.
  21. Oh my...he is as cute as a button!! When is his first show?
  22. Hi all4gsd...I'm not at liberty to say how the club wrangled the pavilion, but yes your correct in saying that the cost of hire is $5000 for it. The committee members of both Eaglehawk and Bendigo have tried very hard to ensure the comfort for dogs, exhibitors and judges alike by securing this facility. Personally I would rather the indoor facility opposed to being on the dry, sandy grounds, heat of the day, out doors!...less the gazebo setting up! Many exhibitors will note the drop in numbers, country and metropolitan shows in the last few years, many clubs are doing their utmost to try and improve their figures. I have no doubt Rochester show committee will do their very best to finish in time for the Bendigo show starting time...however last year many exhibitors were jumping up and down because Bendigo tried to start a little later and allow exhibitors time to travel..sometimes there is no pleasing everyone!
