  1. Southern Districts starts off with basic obedience and as the grades get higher it gets more into trialing stuff. They do agility there too!
  2. I do both with my BC..but i wish i didn't start agility so soon! Before we started agility she was so much better at obedience.. but there's no turning back now.. we are both addicted to agility! But I still want to get at least her CCD title before pulling her out of Obedience.. probably even CD. It's taken me a while to get back into Obedience because she enjoys agility so much more... but now she enjoys both!
  3. Also... when u bring her to dog training... i may steal her!! mwahahahaha (evil laugh) how old is she??
  4. Awww... oh my gosh!! she is the most cutest thing i've ever seen!! I just want to pick her up and sqeeze her lol!! I can't wait to see her at training!! Hope ur having fun with ur new PUPPYYYYY!!!
  5. thanks so much for the info! she's got a lab/kelpie mix... & apprently he's growing like crazy!! He's only 16 wks (i think) and is already bigger and wieghs more then my BC!!
  6. hmm... I'll have to ask her. I thought of Murray Bridge, I've seen the obedience club sign on the oval. See how long it takes her to get there.
  7. My friend who live in Strathalbyn, just got a puppy, and shes interested training at a obedience club. I thought there was one in Mt Barker but I can't seem to find it online. I swear I've seen people training on a school ovel there! Is there a obedience club in Mt Barker? I don't think there's one in strath, and she dosn't want to travel too far, cos she only gets home from school at around 5:30. Does any one have any suggestions??

  11. I really wish I could go... I looked up info on the Dogs SA website, But I just don't think I'm going to be able to make it. Long story, but I'm still dealing with some SACA registration forms and stuff. I might go to the Para Discrits trial though, just have a look. Don't know at the moment, might be busy that day. I have obedience training this morning, so I might get some info off some people there. Thanks anyway.
  12. I rekon "Working" and "Working Dog" mean two different things depending on the text. You wouldnt call a dog that competes in obedience a "working dog" simply because a working dog is usually one from a farm/police dog/guide dog that works everyday of its life and is there only for working or doing particular tasks. I personally would call an obedience dog one that "competes in dog sports", however when he is in the ring and doing the activites I want him to do i would consider that "working" but he isnt a "working dog" as such. Hope that makes sense... i agree!! as confusing as that sounds... it makes sence!
  13. I would consider Obedience as 'work'. But thats just what i think... I'd say agility is 'work' too. Maybe thats just cos i have a BC and there working dogs. I classify with my dog anything thats getting her to do some thing is 'work'.
  14. due tomorrow... i don't think i'll be able to get forms in by then... oh well.... para districts? is that in sailsberry?? mite go have a look... thanks for ur help
