One of the greatest problems will be that we are scattered all over the country and unless we ALL support one organization we will ALL lose out. We already know of the problems we have because we have NO single controlling canine body. Thus why i belive we should stand united and help each state... Our controlling bodies to each state will not help as there just really a registry[to take our money]and not help/stand by us We need to get a group of people join the MBDA and help fight this togther.[our own ethical bible] lf we keep just sitting back we WILL lose all our rights.. EVERYONE needs to get together and protest WE are diffrent to the Puppyfarmers there trying to place us all in the same basket Once these laws are approved were STUFFED....There will be on way we will be able to change there new laws. l WANT to whelp my dogs indoors l DONT WANT my dogs on concrete l WANT to keep my breeding stock l WANT to get together with other dog fanciers to STOP these people putting US in the same basket

BUMP Steve im a vicdog member,MBDA mmber,Frenchbulld dog club,Boston terrier club member. And from what i read the MBDA is the only membership that could help me. l WANT to keep my 10 dogs ...l want to be able to breed to improve whats in my yard SO PLEASE what should we do...??????? lm willing to help in anyway possible as the shire[wellington]will be trying there dammedest to cut down the number of dogs VCA member can own. These new regulations are made to make the piulic belive its to cut down Puppyfarms here,but it also includes US[VICDOG MEMBERS] IM NOT HERE TO HELP THE PUPPYFAMERS JUST US...IS THIS POSSIBLE???

Contact the breeder...Tell them whats happened and were your at. Vets l find really dont know much about puppys and there problems breeders have hands on so do know better at times. Alot of vets just clock up bills...And you say you cant afford the costs so please call the breeder Your breeder could have had a certain tone with you as alot of people just DONT listen. Thus causeing problems with pups.Good luck with him but i would be calling the breeder

Sorry SOUFf...l dont think the word regulate was a badly choosen word for all sites INCLUDEing petklink... Regulate as in makeing sure the pups on the site are DESEXED...microchipped and above board..Nothing wrong with trying is there? And before you say that cant happen take this on board please adds in local papers were regulated and had checks placed on them to make sure they were licenced to sell pups. Yeap even in the wellington shire WOW amazeing hey That is interesting re a newspaper laying down the conditions that pups put up for sale must be desexed first. I know more than one vet who will NOT desex puppies at that age, and they have the backing of their profession on this matter so the newspaper would not get my ads. If the newspaper owner is OK with losing business then that is OK for them, and newspapers are going out backwards on every level anyway. They used to make a motza on the pages and pages of advertising. Not any more. The internet has them stymied. Souff is a firm believer in pups being desexed - at the appropriate age for the individual puppy and no newspaper clerk will ever change my mind on that, but it is highly doubtful that I would be giving them any business anyway. Selling out of the back of the car at the beach actually holds more appeal than talking to newspaper people! ;) Re the internet, that is a whole other story. If Petlink were to close tonight, or start to enforce rules on people, there will be another similar site set up within 24 hours and people will just use that. Sorry to put such a dampener on things, but that is how it is with the net. Very very difficult to police - so you might as well make the net work for good, rather than for evil - I think Batman once said that. The net is a very useful tool that can be used to educate people and get a good message out there. Why dont you use Petlink to do just that? Other people and organisations have done so and the Canine Councils used to always have a message on the Trading Post site (havent looked lately) and this is a classic example of using the places where your enemy hangs out uses to get your message across. It is taking the fight up to them, and the public get to READ your message on the enemy's territory. Smart thinking - it is a tactic that gets results where people are fighting for a better world. There is more than one way of skinning the cat, somebody else once said. Souff Souff this council WIL NOT reg pups that are not micro chipped and if not reg with vicdog[x breed] MUST be also desexed. lts spreading fast and i think the sooner the better.lm not a fan of PETLINK or other sites alike. l place my adds on here and here only.P.S i do use the internet to send pics of my stock only l dont even bother with the trading post anymore havent for years. Each to there own,but l feel Ethical breeders are better off doing things the same way if possible . This way the public can be guided to the better way of buying there puppys. lf the breeder does something unethical a simple email to Troy and there add is removed till the problem is solved. If you are talking about my post on Finnland, I think you missed the message. 1. ban pet shop sales. 2. elevate and promote ANKC breeders as the best place to go to buy a pup. Not legislate, no where does she talk about extensive legislation. She talks about creating a different value system, you can not legislate a change of values . l still belive that stopping live pets sold in petshops is a huge start....After all its the inpulsive buy that sells most pups .in petshops..isnt it?? The trading post takes adds via emails only now in vic so ive been told?? So the desexing law before council reg should be put into place that will eventually kill the breedin g of x breed and unreg pups. And petlink could also be regulated.With all the above being done petlink wouldnt be used to sell pups after time

Good on the lady reminds me of a neibour we had He used to let his dogs out to poo on our lawn 5 times a day so my brother collected it [dog poo] put it in a paper bag and set it alight on his dooor step and knocked on the door. The guy comes to the door to see this bag on fire so he stamped it out Recon he could hear us pissing ourselves laughing SHIT HOT hey His doggy didnt come over after that lol.... We gather he brought a doggie loo or decided he didnt like the smell or feel of burning dog poop

Yes exactly, (and he doesn't hold back when 'go-ing at' the scum of society such as child molestors etc.) it's good for him to say Hey, look we bought a dog from a Pet Shop and we didn't realise either! So many people just don't realise. I didn't when I was younger, I bought dogs from Markets. Good people who give Pet Shop Dogs good homes but have no idea of "what circumstances" they came from!! It take high profile people to get the message out there. Recently I've been overwhelmed with people ringing up inquiring and emailing me about my recent litter. Stating that they want to get their dog from a Registered Breeder. There is NO WAY I am going to be able to meet the "demand" with 5 puppies. It worries me that these people may end up going to a BYB or worse! I guess it just depends on the patience and morals of those involved but I can 'see' how the Puppy Mills meet the demand for a popular breed for Pet Shops. BAN PETSHOP PUPPY SALES To start with then demand all unreg pups to be desexed simple Better you worry about meeting the demand than being over populated with pups QUAILTY not QUANTITY

Totally agree otherwise people will get confused and the breeder[reg vca ethical breeders]my come under the same ruleings

lm also in tears reading your post Please tell her the truth l think it will help also if she didnt expect him to wake up l know its hard but tell kids the truth even if it hurts it is way better than a small white lie or even something that makes things easier ln the long run it is way easier...god bless i can amagine what your going through your self.
