Glucosamine every 2nd day, Fish oil twice a week - this will keep the joints nicely lubricated
Pentosan Polysulfate to repair the damage already done - 4 x weekly cartrophen injections, 2 x fortnightly, then once a month, or switch over to sylvet capsules for once/month.
This helped my Labrador, and she just gets the glucosamine & fish oils now, the cartophen/sylvet seems to have fixed the problem.

The bag is just a generic clear bag... the vet uses it to dispense the tablets in NOT the original packaging
Yes I realise that, BUT it should still have a label printed out by the Vet on the packet, which says what the drug is, directions for use, and used by date amongst other things. It's illegal not to have a label on dispensed medications.
I'd say most likely some are from an older packet and some from a freshly opened packet. Saying this, the used by date on the label should be the date which is closer to now.

I guess it would depend on the brand as to what colour they are? The bag the tabs is in should have a label, which will tell you the used-by date.

Yes try some "good bacteria" like Protexin (available from Vets/Pet Supply shops) or Inner Health Plus at the human chemist, or Yukult in the supermarket dairy aisle.

Why does this dog smell after the other one's been chewing/slobbering on it? Does the Staffy have a dental problem? Perhaps you should take him to the Vet for a clean & scale? Then if no smell, you'll just have to brush the little dog, without wrecking it's coat by over-washing!

Well good for you. I guess your dog knows what he personally likes?
You'd probably look funny with a dogs nose, so probably a good thing you don't have one.

Not sure whether it would work for an agressive dog, but apparently a herbal product called "Nux Vomica" is good for moodiness & irritability. I'm thinking of trying it out on a cat I have.

Dogs are omnivores, not true carnivores. Cats are obligate carnivores.
Dogs are Carnivores my friend - hence being born with CANINES to help hold onto & rip apart their prey.

Cartrophen Injections work, but so does sylvet capsules which both have active ingredient "Pentosan Polysulphate". Sylvet may be cheaper in the long run, but needs to be stored in the fridge.

Well can't she just feed biscuits???
Dogs are meat eaters - Carnivores. Can't survive on a grain & fruit/vegie diet along. They'll be malnourished. She shouldn't own a dog if she's not going to feed it properly! Disturbing to say the least.

If it were me, I'd rather put my dog on a course of Cartrophen Injections, or Sylvet Capsules. Then a once a month dose for life. That's just me though.

No offence meant, but that's rubbish. I have three entire males here and they don't mark and hump everything, neither do they jump fences to find females, really the myths that go around about entire dogs astound me. I wouldn't desex a large breed male until it was at least a year old especially if you're intending to do dog sports.
Have to agree there - have a 6yr old entire male Boxer here - he's never jumped a fence, gone wandering, or hump anything (although our female desexed alpha female humps him ) He does mark the fence though - but only because the dog next door does it in the same place

Capsules - from the health food aisle of the supermarket. I just wrap it in ham or something else yummy, and Lab gulps it down.
