I have several of them, I have the big ones that need pins. They are pretty sturdy although one was destroyed by a foster dog! He was a Rottie x though. My MIL has a smaller black one for her Frenchie and its great.

Thanks for all the info. It was actually a man who bred working Kelpies that told me they don't have them! Dingoes also don't have them, and I was told if they do have them, they can't be pure Dingoes. I suspect this girl may have some Beagle (plus a million other things) in her. Will get some pics tomorrow.

No, I don't think so. I know the working dogs like Kelpies and BCs don't have them. I know Rotties do but she ain't go no Rottie in her! LOL! Or Akita! :D

I have a little foster here who has rear dew claws. They are those horrible, detached ones that flop around (they will come off when she is desexed). Just wondering where these might have come from? She definitely has some BC in her, but is smaller and lighter in build.

Cavalier Sold To Pets Paradise By A Registered Breeder
Kirty replied to sugar's topic in In The News
What happens if the puppy dies before surgery? Or the surgery costs less than expected? Will people get a refund? Will the money go to a good cause? Un-bloody-likely!! -
Cavalier Sold To Pets Paradise By A Registered Breeder
Kirty replied to sugar's topic in In The News
Bull. Registered with who? Registered as a dog breeding business I bet. Its a pathetic attempt by PP to have a go at registered breeders. I would bet my last dollar that the 'breeder' was not an AKC breeder. I know for a fact where the vast majority of PP puppies in Victoria come from and it does not surprise me one bit that they are sick. ETA: I have sent in a comment. Wonder if it gets approved? Hehe! -
Desexing contracts are not worth the paper they are written on. People lie.

Erny, my understanding is that it is the GA that is risky, not the opening up.

Muggles, what if they rehomed the dog and asked the owners to keep in touch. Meanwhile, the dog comes into season and because the owners love her SO much they decide to have just one litter with her... Sorry, but near enough is not good enough. If they aren't sure it's desexed, open it up.

ROFL! Maverick, you missed your opportunity! You could have marketed him as a DNA certified Oodle! ROFL!!

Are you sure it was a diamond dove, and not a spotted dove? Another huge pest...

Purebred Is Best But What About Other Pets?
Kirty replied to Wilderblu's topic in General Dog Discussion
Why would anyone want to ethically 'breed' moggies? Go to any shelter and take your pick of dozens of lovely kittens. I believe most kittens are a product of their upbringing. All of my fosters have been strays, some even from feral mothers, and they have grown into lovely cats. -
Help With A Spot On Riley's Nose - Maybe A Tick?
Kirty replied to wagsalot's topic in General Dog Discussion
Doesn't look like a tick to me. Looks like a pimple or a wart. But if its come up suddenly it is probably a bite of some sort. Keep an eye on it and if it gets worse or he looks sick, take him to the vet. -
Different again HollyMilo - one person has a 4mth old Cav that they apparently paid '$900' for and wants to swap it for a kitten - any breed. The second ad is a 3mth old male Cav that they want to swap for a purebred kitten - any breed. Perhaps this is some sort of scam?
-
I just found another ad - different person, different dog but wanting to swap a Cavalier puppy for a kitten!
-
I just an ad on another website, that went something along the lines of 'wanted to swap - pedigree Cavalier for pedigree kitten'. What the hell? Sick of the puppy so swap it for a kitten? Unbelievable. Puppy is apparently from a registered breeder so if you sold a Cav puppy to someone is Yass, you might want to check in to make sure its not yours.
-
Cavalier might suit, maybe two Cavaliers if you work a lot. They do need grooming, but not too much. But they need company.
-
ROFL!! The look on the dog's face is so funny. It looks happy but kinda embarrassed too! LOL! Very cool. I have no idea how you get your dog to do something like that!!

Foster carers actually don't get any grace at all. Technically, I must register all animals that come through here and pay for the permit, etc.

Designer Dogs... Are They Better Than Purebred?
Kirty replied to LizT's topic in General Dog Discussion
All her animals were pedigree though? -
That was a beautiful tribute to Rocco. I have tears in my eyes for you. I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP big boy. Watch over your mum.

See, I'm so rattled I posted twice! :D

Wow Bindii, that would have been awful. :D I can't believe he made it. I am sometimes complacent with my dogs too, thanks for the wake up. Sending you a massive hug.
