We are out at Horsham not sure if many people would drive all the way out here when they are are a number of ET's around Melbourne. Might just end up like Sale with next to no interest from others

It's a shame our club is so far from everything it would be great to hold an ET and with a more members showing interest it would save us having to travel :laugh:

No l don't think so. l would be upset if someone l didn't know complained but considering it was my mother and she knew my 5 choices before l sent them and said nothing. Nothing for several months and then lodged the complaint on my birthday. Plus l have tried to make contact twice she didn't even bother to call or send a card for my youngest daughter birthday. l don't want her thinking this is acceptable behaviour who knows what she'll try next. Considering in the last few months she has been busy trying to find a stud for a bitch she bought on a no breed contract, threatened to sue a breeder in public for selling her a dog she felt was not show quality, tried to sell on a dog on mains against the breeders verbal arrangement. Then you have all the lies. l think l'll just stand back and let her finish burning the few bridges she has left. l don't want other breeders to be unwilling to sell to me or let me use stud dogs because of their negative contact with her in the past. l bought a dog recently and the sellers email said " l hope you have alot of fun and success with him but if it does not work out l have nothing worth suing me for"

Actually when l found out it was my mother who lodged the complaint l tried to call her but got no answer, tried to call dad - from my mobile got no answer. Hubby suggested to call from the house phone which is a private number - he answered said he was busy and that he would call me back that night but l'm still waiting for the call. Christmas day my kids rang they are 7,9 and 12. We always have Christmas at home, no answer so they all left a message on the machine but no call back. l feel bad for the kids we were suppose to show at ADI tomorrow (naughty dog chewed the electrics on the trailer so we are staying home now) but my two youngest show their own dogs and instead of being excited about showing they were worried about what to do or say if they saw Nanna or what if she talked to them.

We got a Prefix .............. Just got an email from Dogs Vic well two actually first one to say l was naughty for quoting staff emails - my bad Second to say we have a prefix ACORTE Not sure who suggested it, we had lots of PM's and help on FB too but thanks everyone for all your suggestions . Now just to send back pedigrees for puppies born before Oct and we are all set. For anyone that's about to register a prefix l have 73 spare ones you can borrow :)

No prefixes checked today or yesterday ...............

Litter one is almost 5 months l don't think the one l kept will get a run in baby puppy. Litter 2 is 7 weeks. Complaint was lodged back in October papers were withheld l was notified in Nov and the saga continues........

Thanks for all these great suggestions. None got checked today but they have assured me they are going to get round to it . l sure hope so l have two litters now with no names or numbers and l can't even advertise my last little man on DOL as Dogs Vic found the time to send an email requesting my listing be removed. Pitty as the bitch was mated before they removed my prefix so l'm not sure what they expected me to do with this litter ???

We are in country Vic and my girls finished the year off with a number of junior handler classes. The last two shows for the year both offered them. Kathy Humphries does a fantastic job at so many of the country shows ensuring there are classes and prizes for the kids even the tiny tots get a run around and a goodie.

Just did and the emailed reply was None of the names you have provided have passed the 1st check due to a variety of reasons (either previously used by Cocker Spaniel breeders, too similar to existing prefix names, registered trademarks). Considering 37 have not passed the first check which means they were too another Vic prefix l'm wondering if anyone in Vic actually manages to get a prefix approved.

Thanks for your input espinay2. Apparently of the 21 choices l sent today only 1 made it past the 1st check but it failed at the second check as it was too similar to a prefix in QLD.

Yep running out of ideas. So my breed is Cocker Spaniel but l can't have anything with Span or Merry / Merri as there are already breeders in Vic with that. Kids names Jorja and Madeline, l'm Julie. Born in Nth Ireland but anything with Bally is out. l do abit of everything with my dogs show, obedience, tracking, endurance, agility but l have tried combinations of the first letters of these sports and all have been knocked back......

l'm at the point l'll take anything this has been going on for over 8 weeks since they withdrew my old prefix as my mother lodged a complaint it was too similar to hers. Prefixes rejected today included :- Otreca, Roteca, Tocrea, Jaybee, Madjor, Jorma, Jorjaline, Coatre, Treaco, Oratec, Ectorae and Etreaco Merrispan Merryspan, Otreca, Jaybee, Julby, mytitleis, Bythebye Madjor, Jorma. these are combinations of my name, my last name, places, the kids names. Forgot about the first 10 l lodged when l first applied for a prefix which have all been rejected too.

So my prefix drama continues and l need some help from DOL members pls. l have submitted 21 choices and they have all been reject. l'm flat out of ideas !!!!

l'm further out then you l'm near Horsham and got mine on Monday with a cute little calander.

l've already started biking my first two, the girls, one of mine is a pint size cocker so the pace is abit fast for her. l'd really like to do Altona with her but l will do one of the first few in Vic incase she comes into season and misses out towards the end of the season.

l used my human one last year for my cockers when l was training them for their ET titles. Some nights l just got home too late or the weather was awful. They loved it and l'm sure l'll use it this year again.

l got mine on special at Kmart for $35 and it's done 2 ET's so far.
