  1. Holy Crap! I'm so glad you and your daughter ok! ;) Good thinking about calling the school as well! I dont know if I would have been that clear headed if it just happened to me!
  2. I too like many others have been following this thread ;) Im so pleased that everything has worked out for you! If we are suggesting names - the first thing that comes to mind here is "Kropka" meaning dot in polish lol ETA: spelling - I suck at it!
  3. Another site you could try is; Stayz You can search all over WA for this one Hope it helps.
  4. MadDocker he is absolutely stunning!!!! Awww you going to have puppy breath very soon Any name you have decided on as yet? Cheers, Ronnie
  5. :p :D How cute is that!! Obviously your bed making was a huge success though
  6. No, no not a problem at all, and thanks so much for responding SC Just wondering if its best to start out as you mean to go on... It could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks *crosses fingers* after puppy comes that we will move to our new build, so thought that if I started to t.train on artificial grass or with a product like the pet loo, then when we move he will be more than likely to keep succeeding with his toilet training. I'm a bit concerned about litter trays because of my cats... But I do know that the breeder I am talking to teaches her pups to eliminate on paper - so I am mulling over what is going to be the best way to go about it I think I am confusing myself just a little. Still hoping for some reviews on those who are or have used the Pet Loo or something similar and what they think to be positives and negatives about it.
  7. Oh bugger! You have to admire his resourcefulness though, what a clever cookie!
  8. Thanks Indie for replying I know this sounds revolting but no problems with the dogs eating the cat poop or making a general mess with the cat litter? Ive read a few stories about this and My eldest female cat is a bit of a concern for me, she wont even use the same litter box as my male cat, and god forbid that he even attempts to go in hers!! Cheers, Ronnie
  9. Another question here in regards to toileting.... At the moment my DH and I are living in our investment property, whilst we wait for our new home to be completed. The yard here is fully paved, no grass at all at the back - we did this when we first bought the property keeping in mind that upkeep for renters and ourselves, would be minimal. The only lawn at this house is out the front and this area is not fenced. At our new build, we have a park and lake opposite us, a pool and shed going down behind the house, and since there wouldn't be a great area left to lawn, we decided to put down artificial turf. In regards to preparing for my new Chi puppy and its toilet training (its more than likely we will still be in our investment property when it arrives) I have been looking at things like the Pet Loo, Doggy Dunny, or even making one of my own, which I saw on another thread, and think it's a great idea! It has also been suggested that I use a litter tray lined with paper, but since my two cats use them at night if needs be, I am a bit hesitant about going down this track with puppy. I have done a search of old posts regarding the above mentioned items, but was wondering now that these have been out for a while, what is the general consensus in regards to their effectiveness, their wearing, any difficulties in getting your pets to use them etc... Looking forward to hearing your opinions and suggestions, and thank you in advance. Cheers, Ronnie

  12. I hope Harry is returned safely and soon...my thoughts are with his owners as this should never have happened in the first place, and I sincerely hope something is being done, to stop it happening again.
  13. Is anybody going to the Chihuahua show on Sunday at the Canine Grounds, Ranford Road, Gosnells? I'm off to check out these fabulous little dogs, and meet up with a breeder there ~~~~

  18. Hi Mirawee, unfortunately there was difficulties with the birth, puppies didnt make it, and mummy had to be sterilized :p so its been a bit of a rough week for me, let alone my poor breeder I was put into contact with a Chihuahua club here and am going to meet some people next week, so hopefully a new little family member will be coming my way shortly. Thanks so much for pointing these things out to me, as I admit to being very worried about off lead sessions, especially if there are larger puppies in the group who might like to play a bit rough. I was given another link; Train A Pup Time and a great recommendation for them, as they put together small classes - not to mention their packages look great. I appreciate you taking the time to advise me. I havent been a dog owner for a very long time and just want to do what is write for my new little man when the time comes. Thanks again
  19. First of Stanley is gorgeous!!! He looks so huggable! And now, what the heck is a Moodle? Thanks so much for your input I really appreciate it, QBF :p
  20. Thanks Dogluva - I must admit to feeling very down the last couple of days and to top it all off my crate and goodies for my little one arrived this afternoon. However, I have been in contact with the Chihuahua club here and am going out to meet some people next week, so hopefully - fingers crossed - I will find my new family member very soon. ~~~~~~~~ Chiwogabull - Peroni is absolutely gorgeous!!! makes me want to give cuddles and snuggles :p
  21. Ishy you will be fine I'm so excited for you !!
  22. Thanks Dwilds - this lady has been the absolute best to me, and even though I wont get a new little family member as soon as I hoped, I'm just really thankful that she was able to save the mum. I don't know how I would be coping in her position  Ive been upset all day for her and her dogs.
  23. Some sad news I am afraid. Just had some news from my breeder, and the pups didn't make it it was touch and go with the bitch also, and they actually had to sterilize her to save her. She does seem to be doing better, so that is something. I feel so terrible for my breeder, what an awful time she is going through right now, and I send her all my sympathy and support. I wish there was something I could do to help her.
  24. Dogluva and Ishy - congratulations!!! They are both so cute and absolutely stunning!! Have you decided on names yet? Im feeling very puppy envious atm - is that normal lol
