  1. OMG how awful! I'm so sorry for your loss, indigirl Run free at the bridge little Ripley
  2. Oh Anne Your commitment and wisdom in caring for Sophie has been, and continues to be, inspiring. This is such a hard, hard decision for you and I know your heart is breaking Sending many, many hugs and prayers your way. Please give Sophie some cuddles from me, I will absolutely be sending thoughts to her - and to you - tomorrow.
  3. Hi Sambea, and welcome to the forum Our Stewie also had Osteo in the right front leg - I will see if I can dig up my old thread about his journey. There might be some useful information there for you. I can highly recommend giving natural therapies a go - they aren't going to do any harm, and they just may provide some extended quality of life for Harley When Stewie was diagnosed, we expected a similar timeframe - having been through Osteosarcoma before - we immediately started Stewie on a raw, unprocessed food, diet and combined this with herbal treatments. Stewie had 10 months of very high quality life, and for the vast majority of that he required no or very minimal conventional pain relief. Have a look at cavNrotts thread about Sophie as well - it is inspiring, to say the lease ( to you and to Soph, cNr) Edited to add: Here is the link to the thread about Stewie - http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...c=30927&hl=
  4. A few points The site looks totally different in three different browsers. It seems to look most "complete" in Firefox, but it is "broken" in both IE and Opera - the background to the menubar and the main background are completely missing in Opera. I absolutely agree with Luke's comment about the menu. I see what the designer has tried to do - the page you are on is not listed in the menu - but what this does is cause the menu items to be in a different place on each page, which is visually confusing.
  5. Amen to that!! Thinking of you and Sophie often, Anne ;)
  6. What excellent news that the onco was supportive of your decisions! It is so clear from how well Sophie is doing that you are very much in tune with what is working for her! Sending more thoughts of strength and happiness to you and to Sophie. Please give her cuddles from me, I do think of her and you often. :whip:
  7. I'm thinking of you and Sophie, and sending you thoughts of love and strength.
  8. How did you go today Anne? It sounds like Sophie is still happy and enjoying life, so take heart in that
  9. Thinking of you often Anne and Sophie How is Soph going?
  10. The Osteosarcoma one is VILE The Maritime Pine Extract is ok. With Stewie we used to inject his dosage into chicken necks and pieces of beef heart. If all else failed we would syringe it into his mouth, quickly followed by a treat. I've also had Enya on the Maritime Pine and the Bone Healing Mix and I just drip it into her food without issue - neither smell great, but neither are as strong and vile as the mix Stewie was on.
  11. Just wanted to send my thoughts, hugs and kisses to you and Sophie, Anne Keep on fighting the good fight Sophie! She has shown, and continues to show, an amazing amount of strength - part of which I know is a testament of your love and devotion to her, and the care you provide her.
  12. Thinking of you and Sophie! Fingers and paws crossed for positive news tomorrow
  13. Well, since I killed the thread Does anyone have any experience with Tuffies? Our guys love soft toys, but it only takes them 5 minutes before the toys start coming apart at the seams. I have a big box of toys that are in hospital at the moment waiting to be stitched back up. I really want to find something that I don't have to sew back up constantly. These toys are expensive, but they look like they would last? http://www.vetnpetdirect.com.au/home.php?cat=447
  14. We just bought some new toys for the kids, and one of them is a red Kong Wubba - well, Enya has gone berko over it, she thinks it is the BEST thing ;) I'm going to get a Kong Snugga Wubba next Another toy that we had that the last litter of pups adored was a Wacky Wobbler - it has now gone to the place in the sky where all overly loved toys end up, but it lasted ages and they (and the adults) had so much fun with it! For Molly, just give her a tennis ball. Nothing is as good as a tennis ball  I have just bought a Kong tennis ball, it squeaks and is larger than a normal tennis ball (so it won't roll under the furniture like her dozen other ones do) - she has played with nothing else since it arrived
  15. Oh, and hey - you know that High Horse I'm on? Yeah, well it has a hell of a lot to do with the fact that the pups you produce are bred from generations of dogs who have not undergone appropriate health and genetic testing to ensure that pups produced are as healthy as possible. The pups produced by people such as yourself have a very high potential of being ticking time bombs just waiting to break the hearts of the poor suckers who buy them from you. As for that high horse - at least my high horse is made of ethics and morals, and on trying to do the absolute best by my breed of dog and the people who purchase pups from me. I take absolute pride in that What about your high horse? What's it made of? Because, despite what you seem to think, you are on quite a high horse yourself
  16. Twice..... Yes, such an unplanned mistake I will comment in this thread, thanks
  17. And have you taken the time to speak with the pups breeder and gain their advice?
  18. Yep and then the OP comes back looking for more help and advice. No wonder so many people feel jaded and wary of helping people. *sigh*
  19. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...p;#entry1205315 So sad when someone claims to have listened to advice when they clearly don't mean it.
  20. How about Parvac? http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=90709
  21. Yes, I agree with you lucknow. As a breeder, I would have definitely wanted to know. cjm, I'm very sorry that your contact with Pru's breeder made you feel worse If there is anything I can do - and advice I can offer from a breeders perspective, please don't hesitate to send me a PM.
  22. Oh No! I'm so very, very sorry cjm Be at peace, Pru. Be happy at the rainbow bridge with your new friends, and watch over your people until you all meet again
  23. HUGE grin on my face at the moment Good girl Sophie!! You've made my night with your report, Anne
