  2. I've heard 'spotting' can be quite normal if there is only a small amount. Sometimes when they implant in the uterus there can be a bit of blood... same as women who are pregnant Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk
  3. Never heard of progesterone injections? Best of luck Sent from my GT-N7105T using Tapatalk

  6. So Lily is now 7 weeks in pup it is exciting times, I can now see and feel them moving from 2 days ago. I had her scanned at 4 weeks to check of she was in pup and we seen 4 'blobs' on the scan :D She is much more tired now and it has gone so quickly so far...
  7. How exciting! Wishing you all the best... beware puppies are destructive lol I have an 6 mo german shepherd who loves to find things in the yard to eat and rip to pieces lol. For a giant breed make sure you follow the breeders food reccomendations and not very much exercise at the young age :D good luck!
  8. Omg ultrasound done today! 4 babies possibly more!! My first litter yippey+
  9. Sorry I am in SA but when I started showing I went by myself and these lovely people introduced themselves and invited me to sit with them. Ever since I remain friends with them, hopefully you will meet some nice people
  10. I dont have a problem with people who breed pets, it annoys me when I see the same kennels advertise pups every 4 months of a new litter and all go on LR with no requirements of desexing... they are part of the reason we are getting those stupid oodle cross things now. They are just in it for money. That is another story and we all have those people in our breeds lol Yes it is a worry what is going to happen, my breed we dont really have a colour problem but I feel sorry for the breeders who do. You can only do the best for your dogs and even sometimes all the time and effort you put in isn't enough
  11. I love the Renault car advert with the papillon and GSD :D
  12. Alot of breeders do not show but just breed and sell the pups off as pets. I believe this has alot to do with the 'faces' game that exhibitors and local judges like to do in the ring. I myself DO NOT enter any shows under local judges, we can pick out who gets all the awards. I would love to get buyers keen to join the ring, we do not have many breeders in our state I am one to help out new people. Hopefully along the way the new buyers could sign up to the state canine group and start showing and breeding registered dogs. Going back to the original post, DQ doesn't make any money off BYB litters. Thus give the public access to pedigree dogs and more members, more litters, more money.
  13. I am so very excited! Now we wait!...
  14. Yay got a tie today! Puppies should be expected around 22nd april :D
  15. Anyone who was interested she is in season now! :D
  16. Read this post with a fair amount of interest, could someone send me a private message in regards to doing declaw removal on pups? Pictures, videos & info would be great
  17. Years ago I bought a pup from a backyard breeder, I didn't know any better but to this day she has a bad luxating patella. (Bad knee) when it requires surgery it will cost me alot. I know of someone who has a german shepherd pup and needed to do surgery on her pup at just over a year old! Elbow displaysia and it cost her around 3 grand in total for xrays surgery pain killers etc. Send an email and tell her you've changed your mind. Find a registered breeder and buy a healthy puppy who's parents have been hip and elbow scored with low scores, you will be better off in the future :)
  18. When I first got my pap she was TERRIBLE for car sickness, I didn't feed her in the mornings for early dog shows. Over a period of 3 months I drove her on short trips to the beach and up to my mums and she eventually grew out of it. I had the window down for her and kept her in a dog crate and sometimes on the seat next to me
  19. Hopefully expectingy first papillon litter in late march early april depending on her matings etc :)!!!
  20. Yay well done congratulations! Now hope everything goes smoothly for yous
  21. What are you feeding your puppy? I have a GSD who grow at a fast rate and her breeder absolutely insists I do not feed her certain kibbles, because they can cause pups to grow faster and throw them out of proportion. I would DEFFINANTLY chat to the breeder right away, I stay away from hills science which is terrible for fast growing puppies.
  22. I currently work 50 hours a week in hospitality and I have a 4 month old GSD pup. She is doing fine and I am doing fine, I could not disagree more that if you are committed it can work
  23. Her breeder hasn't had anything like this happen before, her advice to me is that she will come into season when she does. I can't make her but this could be inherited from any other part of her pedigree also.
