  1. Haven't heard of that one. I thought the idea was to eliminate the smell rather than provide one...I know 'stop chew' is a nasty smelling/tasting deterrent. I hope they didn't sell you that!
  2. What's in it? Vinegar  Sorry couldn't resist.... do you use it neat or dilute it? Would be interesting to know how many 'doses' a big bottle like that would give you.
  3. Hate to play devils advocate here but my vet bagged BH too. Said something along the same lines - too high in protein and potash for a growing puppy and can cause damage. I think its a debate that could go on forever but, indeed, agree that whats best for your dog is what you see them to be doing best on. For me thats canin.
  4. Phwoar.. Fair enough you want something thats going to work though. I'm not having any major issues at the moment so will go with the vinegar to start with, thanks for the recommendation though
  5. Woohoo! How exciting :) Glad to hear they arrived in one piece! I'm not sure if you've used booties before but just in case you haven't the lady at the shop said just put the front ones on to start with until they are used to them, then add the back ones in :) And be prepared to hold your giggles in as the moon walking ensues It's so cute
  6. Is urine off expensive? As in, how much does it cost?
  7. Hi We had a similar discussion the other day: LINK I'm guessing he's not interested in lunch too? Ideally its good to keep them at 3 meals a day until 6mths. My almost 14wk girl is on 2 and 5/8ths of a cup a day of royal canin jnr. Which works out to be about 7/8ths cup per meal, 3 times a day. Also gets probably half a cup worth of treats over the course of a day for training (homemade liver cake, fritz, cheese, ham, tiny pieces of beef). She weighed 8.3kg last night but she is a very food oriented BC. My 18mth boy is very anti-food and only weighs 15kg now but is a small, short fella - he could probably only gain a kilo or 2 before he started actually getting fat. It depends on how tall they are as well as to whats going to be a nice weight for them. Just had a look at some vet papers, this should help with comparison: My boy @ 14wks : 7kg Girl @ 13wks : 8kg Hope this helps :)
  8. So sorry you lost your mate Run free Piper.
  9. I like the sound of vinegar being as it's cheap and all :) More money left for squeakies! I have timber floors too so they shouldn't hold too much pong I don't think. However we've managed to have a couple of accidents on mats so that's why I'm curious about getting smells out of fabrics...
  10. Really? For both floors and putting in the washing machine? Who would've thought it'd be that simple... Can I ask how? As in, just wash as usual then spray some over with a spray bottle? And for floors just use white vinegar instead of pineoclean? Sorry I should add i'm a useless unhousebroken bloke myself.
  11. Hi Do you need participants at all for the clinic? Would love to learn! Or even observe!
  12. Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before but couldn't find anything. What can be used to clean up and ensure all pee smells are gotten rid of? Currently using pine-o-clean for floors and for a mat (cotton) napi san soaked this one for 30 mins in hot water then into a hot wash with normal laundry detergent. Just worried about lingering smells during toilet training. Thanks!
  13. Impressed. Which begs the question...how does one achieve such a calm demeanour? But indeed a beautiful lad :) Edit: OMG!! Just looked up wonderdogs on Facebook...now i'm going to have to wipe the dribble off my chin!
  14. My pup destroyed the little 4mm irrigation hoses too. Loved em. After neutering, and a bit more maturity (approx 10mths when he did his worst, too - now hes 17mths) he doesn't even know they're there - in between those times I just managed the situation so he couldn't get to them. Unfortunately burying isn't enough you might need to limit access to that part of the yard. Petstages do some seriously tough toys aswell. Try the orca. From what I understand the Kong Extreme range is designed for staffies and those with amazing chomping abilities :)
  15. Awesome!!! So is this the full ad or the half version? Jealous some of you have had the pleasure of meeting him!
  16. After all, she decided she wanted lunch yesterday and a nice frozen meaty chuck bone :) All her meals are royal canin junior.
  17. Yeah I may have created a monster by giving her the good stuff for training. When she gets offered kibble for good behaviour now I just get disdain. Think i'm the only one being trained here
  18. Sleep didn't last long! - she's 8.1kg on the bathroom scales. Feels nice n solid to pick up still. What weight do you like girls to sit at when they're fully grown?
  19. Thanks for the tips dancin. I guess im trying to avoid feeding stuff like that until for fear that she will stop eating the biscuits altogether if she knows theres better stuff to be had. Thats exactly what happened with my first one, who now at 16 months ive just managed to get eating biscuits again - and who remains a tiny boy at 15kg. I'll weigh the girl when she wakes up - enjoying 5 minutes of peace and quiet! Thanks again
  20. I got my XL soft crate off vebopet too. Delivery was quick! But unfortunately i left the roof open one day and it got a severe chewing Just ordered 2x metal crates from vebopet as well but still waiting after a week Their prices seem pretty good and quality of the product is good.
