  1. I wrapped up some more gifts and made her wear them.
  2. Merry Christmas from Maybe and the stuff on her head. I wish you a wonderful holiday and a great new year xx
  3. Thanks Noishe! I didnt want to waste too much time at puppy preschool, only because Ive had dogs before and already have these 2 learning basic obedience. Guess im wanting to join more "interests in common" groups, but thanks for the options! Puppy preschool isn't just about obedience, it's about socialisation in a controlled setting as well. I train working dogs and have had heaps and heaps of puppies pass through my hands to get started and trained or just raised and I always take them to puppy preschool because it teaches them to interact with other dogs properly.
  4. Our first years normally stick to routine spays and castrations and easy abscess stuff in surgeries. they are welcome to scrub in and assist in non-routine surgeries as it helps them learn.
  5. really? How did you find out? There was a thread a while ago with a lady that was doing it. If people are talking about my thread about getting an assistance dog, they would be way off the mark as I actually do need one. --Lhok I have no idea which thread it was, hence the reason I didn't link and I hardly know you on this forum so unlikely it was you.
  6. I only use it on the dog with lack of pigment. Black noses are not worried about. I use zinc, it lasts longer.

  8. I work with first year vets and they can be pretty good in a lot of ways. Because they are so interested they really look for everything in hard cases and most have a more experienced vet as back-up and the nurses of course :)
  9. I take my dogs up to nursing homes sometimes, but I made it quite clear to the DON that they were not certified and she was happy to meet them herself and watched me handle them and made sure they had all the health certs and allows me to visit. I hardly ever go up anymore though as I'm too busy. The old farmers love the kelpies.
  10. This makes me so angry. I know of people that used to fake it until they got caught out.
  11. We often have dogs on seats, we don't care we just F10 afterwards.
  12. He needs a bath and brush at the moment..he looks despicable!
  13. My dogs don't really do bitey face at all, unless they are introduced to another dog outside of home. But I have never seen my dogs doing bitey face...MY DOGS ARE BROKEN
  14. I wouldn't take it at all. Just too risky. It could still shed the virus even if it doesn't get sick itself.
  15. That's news to me. All the ones I've seen were just wooden with drapery.
  16. I heard recently that a dog died on a jetpets arranged flight. It may have been an isolated incident but it made me wary.
  17. With all her issues you're going to find it very hard to rehome her. Give it your best shot but you may need to have her euthanised if you can't, which may be the kinder option.
  18. Are you sure she's only 8kg? She looks heavier and older than 5.
  19. She's tiny...she weighs between 8 and 9kg, I just messaged my son. How can I put her picture here for you to see her mixeduppup? I hope I'm replying properly, I don't want to take up all the space :) Upload onto photobucket then paste the IMG link here. She doesn't sound like a good rescue candidate to me. Would be very hard to rehome with all these issues. Just downloading photobucket now. When that's done I'll paste the IMG link. THank you. You shouldn't need to download photobucket, just sign up.

  21. Wow that is really interesting! I don't think I have ever met anybody with a cadaver trained dog before.. Is this like a search and rescue type thing? Or like a police dog to try and find missing people? Hope you don't mind my questions Cadaver dogs are specifically trained to seek out and find dead bodies.
  22. Being a staffy immediately puts her on the back foot and being bad with dogs makes her even more harder to place. You could google 'Staffy Rescue" and "big dog rescue"
