  1. A slasher is very different to a slow moving ute with a watchful owner.
  2. ::thumbsdown:: Now that's a pet hate of mine! I'm sure you wouldn't give it several hours alongside the ute...? I agree that a Weimaraner may not be suitable in the OP's situation. However, one of my reactive dog's best friends at the dog-park was a beautiful pure-bred Weimaraner - in fact, the Weimaraner was a friend to all, dogs and people alike. It's owners were prepared to give up a lot of time to it. Still, the unfenced yard is the main concern. Maybe that's why the OP has gone silent. You obviously don't understand farm life. Many dogs living on large farmland properties spend most of the day following their owners on utes, horses or bikes. Some ride, some prefer to run. I know a kelpie cross that does that every day and he's a very happy, healthy and fit dog.
  3. If they bring BSL into this state like they have done in Vic I'll be moving so far outback that no one will care what I own.
  4. I just checked and my brindle girl (almost dientical colour to that boy) has it too. Possibly a brindle thing?
  5. Have you got pictures of his head and body?
  6. You'd rarely find a rescue that would adopt to an unfenced yard with a history of a dog being killed by a car. I think they should look at building a secure outside run.
  7. It just sounded like he did it quite regularly.
  8. from what I've seen Weims wouldn't suit as they tend to get very clingy to their owners. And pointers are FULL ON energetic breeds. Clumbers may suit. I know a couple of older people with them (very hard to get though and very expensive). Know nothing of Griffins. They might want to secure where the other dog was getting out first before they get another.
  9. Yes - Bruising and a scratch. Someone ignoring my warning to not put their arm through the fence until I got the dog. Yes - Caused by the other dog but my dog didn't back down. Just a few scratches but lots of noise. Yes - RIP chickens, turkey, rabbits, ducks pigeons and many many lizards.
  10. Visas are expensive and working visas for america are a pain in the butt. You won't get anywhere moving to America for under $5000. Also I got a quote for sending a 13kg dog to Denver from Sydney last year and the cheapest was $2700 which didn't include rabies vaccines.
  11. You can't afford $5000 to buy a dog (Cane corso)in Australia yet you think it would be cheaper to move to America and buy a Dogo? Am I missing something here? I always thought it would cost far more moving country (for two people in your case)than $5000. I've never moved across the world though, I could be wrong... I was wondering this, too. Shipping yourself + your dog to the US is not going to be cheap, even if your partner pays her own way.. One minute you say money is not a problem, next minute you cannot afford a CC? Anyway, doesn't really make a difference to me, the whole story just smells a bit like porky pies ;) It does but I get to show people my doggy so yay!
  12. Of course.. Post em up :) Here she is doing her best cropped ear pitty impression And regular face
  13. I have a bullarab, not sure you're after pics of those though :)
  14. But you still have to stop and have lunch at the Long Track Pantry in Jugiong, that food is amazeballs.
  15. I'm pretty sure the Coota caravan park accepts well behaved dogs but you would have to double check.
  16. You can still be 'top dog' but there'll be a rank and she may be below you but above them. Dogs need to know and make their place as long as she's not being aggressive then just keep being consistent with her. Her being separate from the pack may be exacerbating this behaviour as she can't communicate all the time so tries to get it all done when she is with them. She sounds confused and lonely, looking for a place. Any way you could include her more in the rest of your pack? is there a reason she is separate? You'll find she may settle if she is allowed more access to the rest of the dogs and won't be so anxious when she is with them.
  17. That dog has to have bulldog in it, no way is it a purebred pitbull
  18. The body of the puppy is terrible, never buy a pup that looks like that. Not a negative comment just an observation.
  19. The one you posted? the one I posted is a dogo
  20. Don't respond. They don't sound like people I would want anything to do with.
