  1. I haven't trained Ness "in drive" but she will take your arm off when your working with food. Not sure I'd describe her as working in drive though .
  2. So huski what differences do you see between a dog working in food drive verses one who is merely as you put it working on a food exchange basis? I don't have have "drive" videos to contribute but I think a good example of a dog in drive is watching a decent dog on sheep. You can very easily see when the dog is "in drive" versus when the dog is playing.
  3. sheepie ball is actually Kenz's toy - Ness only does soft toys when she wants to shred them . Should have seen the evil eye Kenzie was giving her at the time .
  4. Yes very scary JS although I probably over reacted a fraction at the time. She has done it on one other occasion and I was able to find the culprit and remove it within about 5-10 seconds of looking. I was seriously stressing though when I couldn't find what was the matter and she fact she was being overly cooperative which is very unlike her made me think it was something really the matter. You know if she is happy to be picked up then there is something seriously wrong. Still none the wiser - whether I dislodged something by accident and it resolved itself who knows. She has now settled to sleep so I guess she is fine.
  5. Day 9 - Ness and sheepie ball. Was hoping to get something better but somebody decided to scare the living daylights out of me by choking on a bone tonight. So by the time she decided she was ok after all and didn't need a trip to the emergency vet I had run out of daylight.
  6. huski I had to ask via PM as I wasn't that clever.
  7. Going out to train the youngster seems to be a trigger for drive in my older one .
  8. Well get to it dyzney - we are waiting ;) . Sooner rather than later would be great I have really been looking for months to find something. Oh by the way your inbox is full .
  9. I think they would be good sellers - I know a friend and I recently spent ages and ages looking over the web trying to find something similar and came up with nothing. Look forward to purchasing a couple when they are made available .
  10. well that solves it - I just need to get around to making the rest of my agility gear ;).
  11. The only decision I would have to make is if I would want 2 one for my agility gear and one for my obedience gear .
  12. oooh yes please I'd love some to carry my jumps too. My jump bars are 1.2m or thereabouts so I guess something around that would work for jumps. I think standard is 1.5m though.
  13. Not Scoota or Brooklyn standard but Ness was 6 when she entered her first open trial and 3 trials later walked away with her CDX. Treasured memories. I also have to say even with Kenzie I am noticing recently that she picks things up quicker and retain them with a better level of maturity and she will be 2 in April.
  14. Ness was thinking its so darn hot but why haven't we been out to the park yet.
  15. COP for novice the judge usually just says take up your position - so you can get your dog in a stand however which way you want. Lots heel them up and give them a stand signal. You could give the dog a stand signal from a sit. Exercise only commences when the dog is in a stand and the judge tells you to leave your dog.
  16. More really great shots - well done everybody. Here is my day 8 shot - Ness's turn to pose for my feature photo.
  17. Nope thats a training trial where people are allowed to reward the dog while training. No different from doing a club run out except they hold there training trials at various grounds and conduct them in a similar fashion to a normal trial. So have a check in time and set up as though they would at a real trial. Here is an example of one of their training days:
  18. Ptolomy - poor Blaize your not very nice to her. Hmmmmm but I suppose Blaize could be managed if we get Scoota in the package ;) .
  19. ;) Ptolomy - I wanna hold a UD trial in my backyard think I could submit a proposal . Or alternatively I think they should permit video submissions with no strange scary people in attendance .
  20. Get in line RubyStar - I am first in line for any toller who doesn't life their game enough - Scoota I have garlic prawns and twisties for you .
  21. Video video video ;) oh and video some more. Then sit back and watch and pick it to bits . Says me who doesn't do enough of it.
  22. Hmmm maybe they could be considered a distraction Ptolomy - you just need a really "loud" coloured pair.
  23. I'd like to be able to do both of mine too, so a vote for permitting multiple dogs from me .
  24. heheh very cute Ptolomy . Cider is a still star.
