He made it...! Not sure if allowed, but my lecturer/tutor didn't seem to mind. he's currently going BALLISTIC over an ice cube I out on the floor. It is soooo funny watching him pounce on it and whack it away with his paws. -

Tank was 3.0kg when he was weight exactly two weeks ago at the vet when he had his C3 (at 8 weeks, 2 days). I just put him on the scales this morning and it said 3.7kg. Is that about right? He's just over 10 weeks so has put on 700g in two weeks. I am looking forward to his vet visit next Friday - hopefully he's all on track. -
Just wondering (and I think I know the answer) is playing games with puppy that encourage chewing eg tug o war with toys counterproductive to getting him to stop biting? When he bites or mouths me or say a pillow or my pants, I try and get a toy for him instead for him to chew on. Is this okay? Or should I start spraying him with water lol

Tank wriggles so much at cafes when he can smell food lol... Can't wait until I can put him down - he has his next vac on Friday next week! Finally can take him for footpath walks! -

Tank still takes a good 10minutes to settle down most of the time. Think we will just have to deal with that! I'm hoping he doesn't grow to hate his pen though. He's already a tad hesitant to go in it sometimes -
Just had my lunchtime visit and he seems all good! Phew!

Glad he's finally back home for you! Good luck with him - hopefully this time round he's more settled! -
Ah ok. Interesting! Normally he gets up around 2am for a pee but tonight I slept through that. Wonder if that was why - this was the first time. Freaked me out!

He seemed fine this morning. Ate a good amount. Drank some water. And ran around the apartment. He did a small poo and a big wee. I think he's fine but i will check anyway at lunch.
-
Tank vomited around 3:00am. Just a little in his crate and then twice again afterwards. The first one in his crate contained more gunky vomit with one solid bit - looked like a small bit of poo. The next two (out of crate) were watery clearer frothy bile-like. Is he okay? I don't think he over ate yesterday - maybe a little. I did cut mince yesterday (more so because I ran out) and didn't soak his dry food in water. I just tried to get him to drink some water, but no interest. I checked his crate and there is no trace of poo or smell so I don't think he ate that and then vomit it up. He's back sleeping again now in his crate. I'll keep an eye on him rest of the night. We both have to work in office today but can both duck home at lunch to check.

I'm more than a little annoyed. So Tank came into the office with me today. He's down with reception and the ladies looking after him are really good and have young dogs of their own that come in. I told them that Tank didn't have all his vacs yet so just keep an eye on him if other dogs come in. What happens? I go down to say hello and she's like "He was so good when I took him for a walk to the cafe. He even picked up sticks and wanted to play fetch." :mad Not happy. Now I'm going to be stressed all weekend watching him like a hawk. It's all concreted where he would have walked and it is only maybe 100 meters there and back. God I hope he hasn't picked any viruses or sicknesses up... Should I be super worried? -

Oh God! Out of interest, what did you use to clean up? Just a normal household disinfectant? -

Would I be worried he still only eats about 1/2 the food I put down for him? I'm not really following the instructions on the bag because I'm adding mince to the food like the breeder did. But the bag says 1 5/8-1 7/8 for a 2-3 month old 10kg adult dog. He's prob having 1/3 cup three times a day + mince breaks and dinner. He doesn't eat all his breaky / dinner but he does lunch because its in Kongs or in plastic bottles for him to work at getting. He also doesn't drink heaps of water even though its always there in two spots (his accessible room/pen and the lounge. His nose isn't as wet as I imagine it should be. -
Yay! Got him up once in the night and forced him to stay on his pee pad until he peed. Kept saying 'go toilet' and then praised heaps. Same story when I got him up at 6:15 this morning Re stopping him being naughty, he seems to respond to two load claps and 'no'. Do I praise when he stops? I also try and get his rope or another toy so he can chew something else. What do you guys mean by collar train? Is that just putting on his collar and getting him used to it? He doesn't like it much - scratches it. I put it on when he was sleeping.
-
The aim with toilet training is to take him to his toileting place and make him stay there until he goes, if you wait until you see him go he will keep peeing everywhere. And toilet training without a backyard is a billion times yarder, as it's not natural for them. But breathe, he's only a baby! I try that but he just plonks down or chews me or claws the puppy pad...hehe crazy kid. Can't wait to get him outside once morning, one evening. He has so much energy!!
-
I'm totally failing at toilet training. He pees everywhere. I try and grab him all the time but its tough. I play with him lots to try and wear him out. I have trained him to sit. I guess I can start with some more training. I take him outside for walks in my arms all the time. And he likes the car. Sorry - first time puppy owner! I know I'll stuff a few things up but I'm trying to do my best for him and for us. Thanks for all the advice - I really do appreciate it.

Nope he can't get up on his own yet. He was sitting with my partner all relaxed one minute and then out of nowhere he jumped. He's totally okay now. He's crazy. Still peeing everywhere.... -
I'm going to try a puppy pa in the lounge. I think I just have a stubborn ass Frenchie lol
-
Lol!

Yeah we'll be here for a while. His pen is actually his own room - tiled. I might put some around the house. He's a bundle of fun...
