  1. Cool thanks for the advise with the food, I might send this to them to give them more ideas food wise!
  2. She's just turned 2.. I don't know when she was speyed - possibly at 1 year old? I terms of exercise and treats, I won't be in the position to advise as I don't see them too often but her condition looks fine, not tubby or underweight she's about 10kgs.. and I have touched her, and no ribs are pertruding..
  3. Not that I know of but I will mention it to them when i see them next!
  4. The next time they feed her would be the next day.. even then she doesn't take to the food.. Hmm would let them know about the mince - cooked to begin with maybe? and the sardines to tempt.. hehe thanks !
  5. What are they feeding her? Currently i think it is royal canine for fussy eaters They have tried wet food, canned food, other brands of dry food like eagle pack, etc .. she just doesn't seem very food oriented - doesnt sit and stare when the humans are eating, she sits and stares at the balcony.. etc..
  6. Hi, am posting for friend of mine. They have a cairn terrier and apparently after she got desexed, lost interested in food. They have tried taking food away when she does not eat within 20 mins. Everynight, this is the routine - i watched this last night - They throw a couple of dry food bscuits around to get her excited and about after 6 or 7 if she eats them, she'll go to the food bowl - the entire time, the house needs to be dead silent - we couldn't even chat as if we did, she gets distracted and loses interest in food altogether. Not sure what else they can do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  7. Our family had a peke when I was much younger and she always got clipped as it was in Singapore and it's really quite humid.. I thought she looked really cute as she always came back looking younger and very 'light' and the groomers usually put a little ribbon .. but that usually didnt last very long..
  8. lol so what's a blue brindle like Ned suppose to be? haha..
  9. Hmm sorry to hijack this thread.. I bought tapeworm tablets and was advised to give it every 6 months??? Im also using advantix on a monthly basis. Does this mean that I might have been advised wrongly re. the tapeworm tablets?
  10. Aww..that is so cute, Petal. By the way, what were you feeding him before Eagle Pack? Panda, He was on supercoat - I have read about Supercoat - although one of the better supermarket brands - giving some dogs bad farts, so hopefully his farts wont be as bad. I still have some left, so I will use them as training treats as they are smaller and the smell isnt as overwhelming... I still give him beef mince and chicken necks for night meals .. sometimes with or without dried kibbles. I have a question for you lot feeding eagle pack tho, do you give your dogs less then when you fed them some other brand? I usually give Ned about 1/2 cup in the mornings but I find 1/2 cup of Eagle Pack kibbles look alot more then 1/2 cup of the Supercoat kibbles... ?
  11. I switched to Eagle Pack on the weekend. Only bought a 3KG bag of the fish ones.. I thought it smelled quite strong but Ned seems to like it fine.. he's been waking me up at the crack of the dawn the last few days and running outside and sits infront of his bowl, waiting to get fed Will keep going to see if his skin/fur improves and hopefully release less toxic farts!
  12. Hi Haze, I would contact SPCA. They might conduct puppy school (I know he is no longer a puppy) or they may have similar classes. I'm from Singapore but living in Melbourne. Just returned from Singapore last week and I have to admit that I am amazed at the number of shops selling pet supplies and pet grooming So, contact the SPCA and they should be able to recommend a dog school near you. editted for spelling...
  13. Oonga, I am with you. I have been looking forward to it for weeks.. all paid up and stuff but things have happened and I am miles away from australia at the moment..
  14. oh, i wish i knew about the vic workshop! it's all sold out! LOL IS there some sort of email list where I can put myself on so I can be informed of future workshops, etc? Would love to hear what Steve can do for me and Ned!
